Welcome to AOG 2016 With continued and growing collaboration with industry and government, AOG remains one of the leading global oil and gas industry events.
It is with pleasure that I introduce the AOG Exhibition and Conference (AOG) for 2016.
Entering its 35th year, the focus on innovation, collaboration and creating ef ciencies will be central to AOG 2016.
As recognised across the industry the current downturn in activity will require all areas of industry and government to come together to reduce costs and improve productivity. Now more than ever, AOG’s role as a platform for the global exchange of information on new techniques and technologies will have a signi cant impact on moving the Australasianoil and gas sector forward.
The theme of collaboration is carried through to our 2016 conference, which will also look to support the Australian industry to identify greater ef ciencies and innovation as it transitions from constructionto operations. That shift from Capex to Opex is a topic which is of particular relevance for Australia’s world-leading LNG sector with four major projects on the East and West coasts expected to come into production over the next 24 months.
AOG continues to bene t from the support of leading industryand government bodies, working in partnership with the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), Subsea Energy Australia (SEA), Subsea UK (SUK), Safety Institute of Australia (SIA), IFAP, the WA Department of Commerce and the City of Perth.
For 2016, we are pleased to introduce a new partnership with RINA(Royal Institution of Naval Architects), who are developing a conference stream on Fixed and Floating Offshore Structures, focussing on technical development in operations, maintenance, design and construction.
As the only event in Australia dedicated to enhancing the Australasian service and supply industry, AOG continues to provide unparalleled opportunities for businesses to network and showcase their productsand services to a targeted audience.
As the industry transitions into a new operations phase, I am con dent that AOG will again provide a critical opportunity for discussion, contemplation and collaboration.
We look forward to you joining us at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from February 24 to 26, 2016.
Sincerely,
Bill HareEvent Director
