ProTracts-NCP Integration
The Toolkit-ProTracts NCP integration has now been changed so the program associated with a practice is set when a contract is obligated and not when it is reported to PRS to keep all NCP data synchronized with the appropriate program.
Since this occurs at obligation, it is transparent to the user that the program code is being changed unless the NCP data is locked (checked out of the NCP by PRS or Toolkit user).
The new business process is to check in the Toolkit plan at the time that the obligating official in ProTracts is going to initiate the “Sign Contract” approval authority.
18
ProTracts-NCP Integration Example
Plan data is clearly locked in Toolkit in screen by the user.
19
ProTracts-NCP Integration Example
Contracting Official using Sign Contract on same data that is locked in Toolkit as shown on previous slide.
20
ProTracts-NCP Integration Example
Contracting Official is given warning message that funding program code can not be updated in the NCP, and name of
person with the data locked.
21
ProTracts-NCP Integration Example
Contracting Official using Sign Contract on data that is locked in another application has obligated the contract, but warning
message indicates the conservation plan was not updated with the program code associated with the contract.
22
IF the applicable funding code was not associated with the practices in the contract prior to upload to ProTracts AND the data was locked and unable to be updated at obligation, the funding program code will have to be edited in PRS.
