Connect the power cord to a surge protector or power outlet and to the

DriveStation. Then, connect the included USB cable into the USB port on

the back o the DriveStation.

Connect the other end o the USB cable to the USB port on the computer

or device you are adding the DriveStation to.

The DriveStation will install automatically.

On a Windows computer, the new drive will be available in My Computer.

By deault it will use the frst available drive letter and will be named HD-

CEU2. With a Mac, the new drive will appear on the desktop.

Format

By deault, the DriveStation is ormatted with FAT32, allowing it to be used

with OS X, Windows, and Linux operating systems. I youre going to use

it with programs that generate flesizes larger than 4GB, such as backup

or video editing sotware, reormat the DriveStation as an NTFS drive

(Windows), a Mac OS Extended drive (Mac), or an XFS drive (Linux).

Optional Utilities

The DriveStation includes several optional utilities. To install and use these

utilities, execute DriveNavi.exe, located on your DriveStation or available

or download rom www.bualotech.com.

The DriveStation Navigator quickly guides you through the cabling and

power-up process or the DriveStation.

The TurboUSB utility improves data transer speeds or your DriveStation.

Memeo AutoBackup sotware is available or backing up documents,

multimedia fles, and other fles rom your Windows PC to the DriveStation.

A license or using Memeo on a single PC or workstation is included with

your DriveStation. Please view the Memeo documentation or more

inormation on installing and using Memeo. As with all backup programs,

reormat the DriveStation with NTFS beore use with Memeo backupsotware.

Disk Formatter lets you easily reormat your DriveStation.

SecureLockWare encrypts the data on your DriveStation, preventing the

data rom being accessed by anyone but you.

The Power Save Utility is a simple utility that allows a user to schedule

shut-down and startup times or the DriveStation disk.

Troubleshooting

FAQ

The ollowing is a list o common issues with the DriveStation. Followingeach issue are possible resolutions.

I see the DriveStation in My Computerbut I cannot access it.

The drive requires ormatting. Try using the Disk Formatter Utility on theDriveNavigator CD-ROM. Consult the manual or the Disk FormatterUtility or more help. The manual can also be ound on the DriveNavigatorCD-ROM.

I cannot see the DriveStation in My Computer.

Veriy that the POWER light is on. I it is not, then ensure that the powerswitch is in the ON position.

Try toggling the POWER MODE switch right below the power switch. ThePOWER MODE switch toggles whether the device is powered up via a USBsignal (Auto) or purely based on the power switchs position (Manual).

I you have installed the Power Save Utility, then veriy that the DriveStationwas not put into power saving mode. Consult the manual or thePower Save Utility or additional help. The manual can be ound on theDriveNavigator CD-ROM.

Veriy that the hard drive inside the DriveStation is spinning. Thiscan be verifed by placing your hand on the sides o the case and eelingor a slight vibration. Also, ater the DriveStation has been powered onor fteen minutes or more it will begin to get warm. I neither o theproceeding tests verifed that the hard drive is spinning, then please contacttechnical support or urther assistance.

My backup program cant save fles to the DriveStation.

Reormat your DriveStation with NTFS, Mac OS Extended, or XFS. FAT32 islimited to 4GB flesizes.
