EBAI is an internship and cultural exchange programme aimed at young talents worldwide, which takes place every year between June and August. EBAI provides outstanding students a great opportunity to enhance their own skills and

academic knowledge by working at the Goverment of the City of Buenos Aires.

EBAI targets currently enrolled BA and MA students aged up to 32 years old, with working knowledge of Spanish and a strong interest in public policy.

International Buenos Aires Experience / EBAI

Selected participants receive the following benefits:

A professional internship * at an office of the Buenos Aires City Government that best fits their profile.

One-to-one work with a mentor specially assigned to facilitate the participant’s experience.

Meetings with government officials in charge of iconic policies being implemented in the city.

Amusement and cultural activities to enjoy the city and discover its main attractions.

Lunch, local transfers and labor risk insurance (international transfers and housing costs are not covered).

Participants were selected based on their academic background, professional experience, personal motivation and geographical representation.

The diversity of nationalities of the participants enriched the intercultural experience: Israel; Ukraine US; Hungary; Spain; Germany; Italy; France; UK; México; Colombia; Brazil; Chile; Venezuela.

Some of the major universities where they come from: Harvard University, Georgetown University, University of Oxford, Science Po, National University of

Colombia and National Autonomous University of Mexico, among others.

Some of the offices where they developed their professional experience: Investments; Smart City; Entrepreneurship & Creative Economies; Strategic Management and Institutional Quality; Open Government and Innovation; the Environmental Protection Agency; Health; Urban Development and Transport; Tourism; International Trade, among others.

We are working on the next programme edition and we call universities to join us and be part of EBAI 2017.

Universities pre-select and present their best candidates based on their motivation, prior work and outstanding academic qualification.

The selection process is carried out by evaluating the following:

University degreeUniversity transcript of recordsUniversity matriculation certificate 2 (two) recommendation lettersCurriculum vitae in SpanishCover letter in Spanish, delineating the student motivation to work as an intern in the GCBA

A special Committee from the GCBA decides the final candidates ensuring a geographically wide distribution of participants by taking into account both nationality and the universities that candidates attended.
