4 Noble Truths4 basic statements that Buddhists believe:

1.) Life is suffering.

2.) The cause of suffering is want.

3.) Once you have realized that you want nothing, the suffering can be stopped.

4.) Following the 8 Fold Path will help stop the suffering.

8 Fold PathThese are the main 8 teachings for Buddhists. They believe that if these 8 teachings are followed- your soul will reach Nirvana.

7.) Right Mindfulness8.) Right Concentration

Enlightenment/NirvanaState of mind when you have relieved your

soul of all suffering and you are at peace. Buddha believed that all people were capable of this and that this was every person’s ultimate goal- he felt that the 8 Fold Path was the best way to get there.
