About UsAction for Children is committed to helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality. We are one of the UK’s largest children’s charities, and our values – equality, passion and hope – ensure that children are at the centre of everything we do.

Bucks Activity Project works with over 350 children in Buckinghamshire. We have been providing quality services for disabled children aged 5-19 for over 15 years, enabling them to participate in fun activities across Buckinghamshire and beyond.

Staff are trained to meet the needs of each individual child, ensuring that each child or young person is able to participate fully in the activity they are attending.

We are a not-for-profit charity driven by our desire to make a difference which helps us to be innovative and flexible. If we can help you, we will.

“I find the Bucks Activity Project a lifeline. It helps me spend time with my other children and it gives my boys the chance to try something new, gain independence and have fun in safe surroundings” Parent

Buddy Up – offers small groups of young people the opportunity to socialise and access an activity of their choosing in the community. Activities can include; meeting up for coffee or a meal, shopping, cinema, bowling and trips to museums.

Join In – offers the opportunity for children and young people to access mainstream activities with support from Bucks Activity Project for a limited period to hopefully enable the young person to attend on their own alongside their peers.

“I like coming to Action for Children because it gives me a break from my family in the holidays and gives me the chance to try stuff I wouldn’t normally get to do” Young Person
