1. Decision makers and political level support is very important for efficiency – Eurobaltic Progress Report is provided annually to the CP Directors General and Committee of Senior Officials Meetings
2. Keep momentum after reaching certain level– there was no breake between Eurobaltic I and II projects
3. Project Management structure has been changed in Eurobaltic II – more responsibilities is given to joint groups of PP, e.g. Steering Committee and Implementing Groups

The follow-up should develope the BSR strategy in line of the wider EU context, including :
• Improvement of safety infrastructure resulting from risk assessment and mapping;
• Preparedness for rapid response;
• Further development of the research and education networks in the civil protection;
„the Union shall encourage cooperation between Member States in order to improve the effectiveness of systems for preventing and protecting against natural or man-
made disasters”
