Tasks and questions

1. We are several public officers of the smaller and middle sized towns along

the same river. What way can we communicate- share information- asses the

structural and non structural choices regarding mitigation of floods.?

2. We are a group of policy makers of big region with more than 50% of the

area in flood prone zones with significant contribution to the GDP. Historically

given, the preferent strategy is flood defense. How to define a sustainable level

of protection just to everyone and how to translate this in practice.

3. We are a group of policy makers in middle sized city. Several parts of the city

experience severe flooding once or several times a year.

The emergency evacuation occurs very often – what should we do to organize

reliable ready to use experienced and trained resources?
