March 4, 2008 Brunsman Banner Be sure to visit our webpage and see what is happening in our classroom! This week we will continue the Whipping Boy as well as work on ISAT testing. Students are working very hard on their research reports. Some students are ready to trace and create their Medieval person. All castles are on display in the hallway. This has been a great unit. I feel the students have learned a lot and are doing well with learning to research for information. Learning Standards: Read with understanding and fluency/ Write to communicate for a variety of purposes Reading News: Math News: What is Going on….. ISAT Starts today!!!! Please refer to the ISAT schedule that I sent home with last week’s newsletter. It is important to not miss any school during testing weeks. If an emergency happens, we will have to have the missing tests done by March 14 th . Healthy Snacks Last week Kanisha and her mom sent salad for snack. IT was a huge success!!! Jarrett’s dad even sent some awesome homemade salad dressing. Thanks for the healthy snacks! We love them! We will continue to work on review skills all week. Students will be testing for ISAT so we will try and hit areas that will benefit them on the test. If you have a few minutes, please have your child work on the ISAT website below. Student of the Week for March 4 is Kanisha Granderson. Congratulations Kanisha! Remember there will be no formal spelling this week. Students will work on their vocabulary words with Mr. Laub. These will be tested on Friday. Make sure your child brings home their ring of vocab on Thursday to study!

This week we will continue the Whipping Boy as well as work on ISAT testing. Students are working very hard on their research reports. ISAT Starts today!!!!

ISAT testing March 4-14 Book Reports due March 17 Spring Break March 21-28 School resumes on the 31st

This week we will be working on USA weekly 10. Mr. Laub will be teaching us about the Roosevelt area. We will use the SMARTBoard to show clips from this time in history.

TEACH students will be back again with another science lesson this Friday.
