Tax Talk

The Income Tax Filing Season has two new tax laws that may have an impact on our BMBC families. Unemployment benefits have been extended for the current recipients, and the Social Security tax withholding rate has increased from 4.2% to 6.2%. This means a 2.0% increase in your normally taxed income. If necessary, make adjustments to your income by changing your W-4 withholding statement.
