Motto: In Deo Speramus In English: In God We Hope Brown University is a private, Ivy League University located in

Provence, Rhode Island. It was founded 1764, making it the seventh oldest university in the

U.S. The school colors are seal brown, cardinal red, and white. It is made up of many smaller schools and institutes: Graduate

School, Alpert Medical School, Brown University School of Engineering, Marine Biological, Watson Institute for International Studies, Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women, and Computing.
