Transcript of Brown eyed girl

By Kerry Detain

In this part it shows the singer is singing to a person who he was once in a happy relationship with and have now completely drifted apart and he is reminiscing about the time they had together.

They used to be fun and feel alive and they were so they saw each other their hearts would pound.

Using the word ‘my’ shows he saw her as his own like a possession

This is him reminiscing about how it used to be and how now his days go so slow because she is not there

His relationship was like a dream because it was so good and he talks about all the games they played

He is talking straight to his love trying to make her remember the good times when they used to sing together and seem so care free

He is saying that he is lost without her love and how when he had seen her, she seemed to have moved on without him

When he thinks back, he gets upset thinking about the good times they had as a couple. Repeating the line ‘my brown eyed girl’ shows he still thinks of her as this

This is just repeating what he had spoken about before describing the fun they had together when she loved him back

He is still talking directly to the girl he was in love with and seems like he is trying to win her back by reminding her of how in love they were and what they done when they were happily in love
