2A celebration of Local and International work

Welcome offer where local meets international. Discover and watch stunning carnival parades in Edinburgh and Liverpool that engage groups, neighbourhoods and communities. We look forward to seeing you in costume or on the road.

Giles Agis Executive Director Brouhaha International.

Our society faces challenges of the scope and intensity not seen in decades. Daily we see

a rolling back of personal freedoms, the mainstreaming of far-right, anti-immigration anti-Islam homophobic extremists, validating hate speech and encouraging discrimination and hatred. We respond to this challenge through creating a cultural offer that brings people together from different backgrounds and perspectives to celebrate the richness and diversity of our multicultural multi-faith contemporary British society.

So a big Brouhaha welcome to our 2017 festival, fourteen days of local, national and international

indoor and outdoor performances, carnival parades, schools and community workshops, a conference ‘New Voices in Carnival’ and finally Liverpool International Carnival’. So far 2017 has been an exciting year for us with carnival projects in Cape Town South Africa, Toulouse France, with more projects to come in the USA, Belgium, the Netherlands and Portugal. Join us in celebrating a diverse and unique arts
