The aim of the Doctoral School in Medicine (MDPhD) is to lead, organize and supervise scientific training and to provide the basis for getting PhD degree in different fields of basic and applied biological sciences.

Goals of the MDPhD Program

The MDPhD Program has been designed to improve the development of the five core competencies identified as essential for success in PhD research.

Our mission is to recruit and train the graduates in the framework of our MDPhD Program where opportunities, approaches and expertise are not limiting factors.

Our current international students play a key role in the post-graduate society.

Core Facilities

The Aurel Ardelean Institute of Life Sciences hosts a wide range of research facilities, including histology, immuno-histo-chemistry and electron microscopy, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, molecular biology technologies and HPLC and biochemistry technologies; flow-cytometry, “in vivo” bio-imaging, animal facility. These state-of-the art facilities are available to all students and are maintained by expert technical staff and research groups who provide both training and guidance for the users.

Graduation exam score (GRE): >8,00 (or equivalent) Minimum 360 ECTS credits for Bachelor and for Master Programs

The MDPhD program seeks highly moti-vated students with strong background in biology, biochemistry, biomedicine, medi-cine, pharmacy or other complementary sciences with the determination to participate in leading life science research.

Your tuition fee will cover the cost of your study at the University, as well as charges for registration, tuition, supervision,exami-nation, and graduation. A limited number of scholarships will be available for the best students.
