Stable and easy to manoeuvreThe caterpillar tracks are made from wear resistant hardened steel or rubber. Strong flap-down outriggers ensure great operational stability on uneven ground. The small dimensions of the Brokk 400 enable it to enter and work where space is limited.

Radio controlThe remote control enables the ope-rator to position the machine for the best and safest view of the work area. The Brokk 400 uses a wireless, digital remote control system with a light-weight, easy-to-operate control box.

MaintenanceA design priority has been to make Brokk 400 a dependable piece of equipment even under the toughest service conditions. At the same time all vital components are easily acces-sible for service and maintenance.

Demolition indoors and outdoorsTypical Brokk 400 jobs are heavy construction demo-lition, cleaning of big furnaces, ladles and torpedos in the processing and the cement industry. The Brokk 400 is then preferable equipped with an SB 552 breaker.

Efficient and silentThe concrete crusher offers a quiet and vibration-free alternative to the hydraulic breaker for demolition applications.

A heavy hitterThe Brokk 400 is the largest machine in the Brokk range and the most powerful demolition robot available on the market today. Its performance outbreaks a several times heavier conventional excavator, still the Brokk 400 is agile and small enough to work in tight spaces. With the impres-sive weight / power ratio the Brokk 400 has the muscle to demolish very strong concrete structu-res while eliminating the need of expensive sho-ring. It is also very productive in open spaces.

To maximise utilisation of the Brokk 400 it can be fitted with a wide selection of demolition tools including hydraulic breaker, concrete crusher, steel shears, buckets of different kinds, scabbler, driller, and grapple.

The processing industrys favouriteDemolition in processing industries is tough on tools and equipment. Slag removal, cleaning of ladles, kilns, and furnaces must be done quickly and with precision. Other similar jobs include stripping of linings in cement and lime kilns. For

these often hot environments, the Brokk 400 can be obtained with heat resistant hoses, extra cylin-der protection, steel shoes, inclined steel tracks and air cooling system.

..and a must in heavy construction demolitionFor the very heavy demolition jobs within the construction, you need efficient equipment. The Brokk 400 removes heavily reinforced concrete vaults and foundations with speed and accuracy while the operator remains at a safe distance, free from vibrations and falling debris.

Power and reachWith a reach of almost 7 m (23,1 ft) and a full 360o turning radius, the Brokk 400 provides excellent access to the work area without time-con-suming repositioning. The three-part arm is of box weld design for maxi-mum strength. Hydraulic cylinders and hoses are well protected. The quick-hitch makes tool changes easy and the machine becomes even more flexible and productive.

ToolsThe strong arm allows the machine to work with tools weighing up to 600 kg (1323 Ib). A breaker fitted to Brokk 400 delivers a hitting power of 1048 joules (773 ft Ib) at the tip, a remarkable achievement for a 4,8 ton (10 582 Ib) unit.
