The problematic arises from an inadequate tourism service that, if functioning, would develop the residents of the SHBP buffer zone. Meanwhile they are still obtaining very low income, from a business point of view.

On the other hand is has been proven effective working with participatory methodology and adequate intervention techniques such as: the recovery of forest coverage of the SHBP, the construction of the touristic ecolodge preserving the SICAN guidelines, by highlighting their infrastructure in the tourist center and finally, to achieve a model of ecotourism.

Thus the project integrates the ecotourism as an activity, potentially income generating, where the rural families are the main providers of quality tourism services, preserving the Historic Sanctuary of the Pómac Forest.

01. Ecological, cultural, economical and touristic acknowledgement of the SHBP buffer zone.

Improving quality of life and income of the farmhouse families located in the buffer zone of the Historic Sanctuary of the Pómac Forest, by the means of offering sustainable eco tourism service.
