BVDU todayboasts of a state-of-the-art infrastructure, sprawling campuses,extensive teaching and learning facilities, library and researchfacilities.Today Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has 32 constituentunits and is one of India's largest multi-disciplinary multi-campusuniversities.

The University Grants Commission which is the apex body concerned with higher education in India made anassessment of the academic excellence achieved by the institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth through a committee ofexperts and on the recommendation of the UGC, the Government of India accorded the status of "Deemed to beUniversity" to twelve institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth in Pune on 26th April, 1996 vide their notification No. F.9-15/95-U.3.Later in July 2000 the Government of India on the recommendation of University Grants Commission andthe All India Council for Technical Education brought three more institutions within the ambit of Bharati VidyapeethDeemed University vide their notification No. F-9-15/95-4-3 dated 28th July, 2000.The University Grants Commission vide their Letter No. F.No. 3-2/90 (CPP-1) dated 17th August 2002, have agreedto bring two more research institutions within the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. During the year2004, a Medical College at Sangli and a Dental College at Navi Mumbai have also been brought No. F. 9-7/2004-U.3within the ambit of this University by Ministry of Human Resource Development.

EXAMINATIONThe students are assessed based on course work and examination for every program. IIMT STUDIES functions with the

method that the three hour examination system is old fashioned as it only puts additional stress on students. As soon

as the students are ready to take the exams they are required to apply in the institution for question papers which areto be answered with the method of open book examination method. The candidates are required to submit the

answers within the prescribed time limit to the institute through courier/speed post /e-mail. This unique methodology

helps students in PH. D. Program. IIMT STUDIES has designed this novel, liberal, rhetoric education methodology that

allows students to make maximum benefits in writing answers to secure higher grades.

Project Study: It is mandatory to be the process of project work / project study if you are a management

student if IIMT Studies. This session has to be taken after the written examination held by any particular.

Depending on any of the specialization subject, the project work / study has to be submitted after the entire

research of the particular dept / specialization chosen. It is briefed that the project work can be successfully

completed with more convenience if done on your on employer (current or past).

Viva: Video or a telecon conversation can be the mode in this examination system. Viva is designed as per

employers requirement. The professional skills are required to pass this exam. It is mandatory to pass out viva

examination to pass the course.

Others

If the students desire to appear for three hour class room examination, they can do so. The exams will be

conducted at various IIMT STUDIES study centers. In such case students will not be allowed to refer the study

material in the examination center. The students should intimate the preference for this option at the time of

registration.

Exam Pattern:

Students are allowed to appear for the examinations Study Centre Based Exam (SCBE), Online Based Exam

(OBE) and Project Based Exam (PBE). The Examination process can be started only after getting (Exam Process

Code) EPC from the IIMT - CENTRE.

Components of OBE - PBE

The following components will comprise the OBE-PBE for each course:

A total of three marks are allowed as grace marks over two modules spanning a complete academic year.

The student may avail the grace marks over a maximum of three subjects or a minimum of one subject.

Centralized Exams at Exam Hall

In order to have better control on the conduct of examinations and improve the quality thereof, it has been

decided to centralize the examinations at Examination Hall as decided by IIMT CDL (applicable to freshers only)

Re-Examination and Late submission Charges

If the student fails to clear any of the examinations or skip the examination, it can be covered through re-

examination process easily by paying negligible charges of INR 250 per subject.
