bOlD DESiGN SETS THE STaGE. Every corner of Caliber makes a statement. The fact that every single piece of fascia is body-coloured says something. The fact that each of its wheels is framed in boldly pronounced fender flares says something even louder. When it’s all said and done, this design says one thing at the loudest of volumes: there is no mistaking Caliber.

HEaDlampS. Large wraparound headlamps flank Caliber’s chiselled bonnet. Seamlessly stretching from the front grille to the fenders, the assemblies feature pronounced crystalline-appearance headlamp modules.

SculpTED wHEEl arcHES. Caliber’s square-shouldered posture is amplified by sculpted wheel arches. Establishing a design tone that stretches beyond its actual presence, these pronounced arches put all on notice, daring anyone to call Caliber a small car.

TaillampS. The rear hatch is marked by taillamps that continue the tone that the Herculean headlamps establish. Big enough to practically melt the paint off cars that pull up behind it at traffic lights, the massive taillamps clearly define Caliber’s borders. When it comes to design that gets noticed, nothing on this car went unnoticed.

ucONNEcT™ mulTimEDia.

STYliSH aND ENTErTaiNiNG. Every Caliber instrument panel features an electroluminescent gauge cluster that glows ice blue when lit and a centre stack console with the Media Centre 230 6CD/DVD/MP3 radio with Audio Jack. Caliber also features a colour-keyed instrument panel and trim accents for an interior that sets a tone all its own.

The available Uconnect Media Centre 731N is command central, offering entertainment, information and communication, all through a CD/DVD/HDD/NAV radio. A 30GB hard drive allows you to store photos, playlists and songs, as well as rip, stash, organise and shuffle up to 4,200 digital music files from CDs, the integrated USB port or the exterior audio jack. The 16.5 cm touchscreen allows you to easily change radio stations and play digital audio files.

Go high-tech with uconnect phone, an in-vehicle, voice-activated communication system that allows you to talk on your Bluetooth® compatible phone virtually hands-free[1]. This system features voice-recognition[2] in six languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Comes bundled with the Technology Group.

Connect most Ipod compatible devices to your car's stereo using the in-car cable, then control them through the Uconnect Media Centre screen and controls (packaged with the Technology Group).

SEaTiNG OpTiONS.

SEaTiNG. Inside Caliber you’ll find seating flexibility as varied as the things you can carry.

FOlD-FlaT SEaTiNG. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats fold forward to create a flat load floor for hauling larger cargo, while

the front-passenger seat folds flat for carrying the longest of items.

TimE TO SpliT. With split-folding rear seats and an available front-passenger seat that also folds flat, there is a multitude of ways to configure

your Caliber, letting you decide the best passenger-to-gear ratio for every trip. With all seats in their upright position, there’s 352-litres of rear cargo room. With

rear seats folded flat, there’s even more — 1,013-litres. Don’t worry about messy loads; rear seats are backed with a durable carpet for protection. The removable 113kg

capacity load floor is designed to take a beating.

riDE FOr FiVE. With a ride this cool, everyone will want you to drive — good thing Caliber seats up to five. With standard rear seats that recline, everyone’s comfortable.

STaiN rEpEl SEaT Fabric.[1] Stain Repel, the stain-resistant, odour-resistant and anti-static seat fabric employs a dual-action technology to help resist stains by beading spills for easy cleaning.

iNTEriOr TEcHNOlOGY.

rEmOVablE TOrcH. This removable and rechargeable torch is piggybacked onto the headliner of Caliber’s rear cargo area. Its batteries are conveniently recharged when the torch is returned to its cradle.

muSicGaTE pOwEr.® The available Boston Acoustic MusicGate Power® 458-watt nine-speaker sound system (including a subwoofer built into the rear cargo area) features two speakers that swing down from the rear liftgate when open.

cHill ZONE.® This two-tiered glove box surpasses its utilitarian roots. Level one is a cooled storage bin aptly named Chill Zone. Here, four 375mL cans, four 600mL bottles or a combination of the two can maintain their already cooled nature with the help of Caliber’s A/C. Level two features 5.7-litres of space to hold the Owner’s Manual plus other essential travel items.

illumiNaTED cup HOlDErS. Two electroluminescent cup holders between Caliber’s front seats emit a muted blue light when lit.

SaFETY aND SEcuriTY.

air baGS.[1] Caliber SXT comes standard with advanced multi-stage driver and front-passenger air bags. These air bags provide nearly instantaneous occupant protection by matching air bag output to crash

severity. Standard supplemental side-curtain air bags with roll-sensing technology deploy from the headliner to provide side-impact protection to outboard occupants. Technology keeps side-curtain air bags deployed

longer in the event of a rollover.

aNTi-lOcK braKE SYSTEm (abS). State-of-the-art electronics allow Caliber’s Anti-lock Brake System to provide faster response time than previous systems. ABS helps prevent wheel-lock and helps maintain directional control when braking

on slippery surfaces.

SOliD cONSTrucTiON. Under the sleek sheet metal and glossy paint are some of the most advanced technologies available to help ensure Caliber is tough to the core. The crush zone is designed to divert and dissipate energy away from the passenger

compartment. The surrounding protection of Caliber’s safety cage construction provides a protective shell around occupants.

ElEcTrONic STabiliTY cONTrOl (ESc).[2] The standard ESC is designed to assist the driver in maintaining control of the vehicle at all times. ESC uses the collective technologies of Brake Assist and All-speed Traction Control (ASTC) to constantly monitor the driver’s input

against the vehicle’s actual course. If needed, ESC will attempt to correct the vehicle’s course by automatically applying the brake and/or reducing engine torque.

[1] Always sit properly in the seat with the seat belt fastened. Children 12 and under should always be in a backseat correctly using an infant or child restraint system, or the seat belt positioned correctly for the child’s age and weight.

[2]No system, no matter how sophisticated, can repeal the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. When the ESC warning

light in the speedometer flashes, the driver needs to use less throttle and adapt speed and driving behavior to prevailing road conditions.
