YBhg. Kolonel (K) Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Hj. Mohd Shukor Bin Haji Mahfar or Tan Sri Shukor as he is often known, is the current Director General and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM), first appointed as the CEO of IRBM on 8 January 2011. Received his Bachelor of Economics with honors from the University of Malaya in 1978, Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1988 and was awarded a PhD majoring in Public Administration from Golden Gate University, USA in 1994. He started his career as a bank officer in 1978 and later joined IRBM as an Assessment Officer in 1979. He was attached to various branches and divisions of IRBM including the Malaysian Tax Academy (MTA). Prior to his appointment as the CEO of IRBM, he held the post of Deputy Director General of IRBM in 2006. Being a significant leader in IRBM, he is well recognised externally for holding remarkable professional memberships such as the President of Malaysia Association of Statutory Bodies and Chairman of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Incentive for Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Negara (PTPTN) as well as the chairman of the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA) and Management Committee CATA, Tan Sri Shukor is also one of the members of Inland Revenue Board, PTPTN Management Board and also member of the Advisory Council and Consultative National Senior Citizens. Currently he is the Adjunct Professor for Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR), University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). His excellent leadership resulted in various recognitions locally and internationally. Among others, Special Award : JCI Socially Responsible Company (SRC) Awards in 2011 and was recognised as a Super CEO by Innovation Malaysia Foundation. Special Class Award: Innovative Personality of The Year 2012, Lifetime Achievement Award 2013 and Visionary Leader of The Year 2014, all by McMillan Woods Global, Most Eminent Brand Icon Leadership Award for Visionary Icon Category - 2014 by Asia Pacific Brand Foundation – BrandLaurette and most recently Lifetime Achievement Award 2015 by The Leaders International and American Leaderships Development Association (ALDA).
