introduction
Feed your soul
Imagine waking every morning to a beautiful new paradise.
Savour days of turquoise seas, pure white beaches, palm-
fringed islands and the intimate tranquillity of boutique
small ship cruising. While your crew are indulging your
every wish, cruise to unspoilt islands, visit remote Fijian
villages and swim and snorkel in some of the most pristine
waters in the world.
Have fun – dive in
Take a magical voyage in the relaxed ambiance of Blue
Lagoon Cruises to the remote and exquisitely beautiful
Yasawa Islands. These islands are renowned for their
picturesque beaches and tranquil lagoons. Situated 40km
north-west from Nadi these islands extend almost 90km.
Sailing takes just a few short hours each day, leaving you
plenty of time to go ashore and explore, play water sports,
enjoy cultural activities . . . or simply do nothing at all.
It’s up to you.
Our cruise directors are trained to make your Blue Lagoon
Cruise experience truly memorable, with cultural as
well as fun activities. These can range from fishing, fish
feeding, snorkelling, coral viewing, scuba diving, volleyball,
bushwalking, spy boarding and kayaking. All entertainment
and activities are included, with the exception of scuba
diving. Our 15 dives package has proved popular with serious
divers. Refer to page 12.
On all of our cruises you can continue the unwinding process
with facials, manicures, pedicures and massages from our
skilled beauty therapists in our Lagoon Spa.
Service – always with a smile
The majority of our crew is Fijian, over half of them from the
Yasawa Islands. They have a special gift for offering genuine
friendly service – of a distinctly Fijian kind. They pay attention
to the smallest details of your comfort. You will immediately
feel relaxed in our informal and friendly atmosphere.
The inherent Fijian hospitality and warmth is a trademark of
our service.
You’re an honoured guest
Experience first-hand the ancient Fijian culture, where people
live today as they have for hundreds of years. You will be
welcomed as an honoured guest when you visit a traditional
Fijian village and take part in the Yaqona (Kava) ceremony
of welcome.
Nanuya Lailai awaits you
Our breathtakingly beautiful, pristine and private island
Nanuya Lailai, in the Yasawas, is available exclusively for your
enjoyment, as are its crystal clear waters and sweeps of fine
white sandy beaches.
Create your perfect cruising holiday
With over 57 years’ experience in cruising these waters, a fleet
of three boutique cruise ships and six unique itineraries. Blue
Lagoon Cruises offer you a choice of itineraries to suit your
travel plans.
Superb dining
Our award-winning master chef excels in creating
imaginative menus, using only the best and freshest
local produce. Your tastebuds will be tempted with
some of the finest cuisine Fiji has to offer. Indulge in
exotic island specialities such as kokoda, a magnificent
marinated fish dish, dalo (root vegetable) and
spicy curries. We also cater for the special needs of
vegetarians, vegans and children.
Your culinary experiences will also include the
traditional Fijian lovo feast of pork, lamb, fish, chicken
and vegetables, individually wrapped in banana leaves
and slowly cooked on hot stones in an earth oven,
covered with palm fronds. A memorable meal, served
under lantern-lit trees on a tropical island.
Enjoy themed dining evenings, exotic barbecues,
fabulous smorgasbords and, every morning,
freshly made omelettes cooked according to your
personal preference.
Our extensive wine list features many top vintages from
Australia and New Zealand.
All meals are included in the price of a Blue Lagoon
cruise. With the exception of juice, coffee and tea,
which are served with meals, alcohol and beverages
are extra.
Fun for all the family
During school holidays we provide a Kid’s Captain for
any cruise with 10 or more children. They take care of
the children from breakfast through to entertainment
after dinner. They ensure that the children eat early,
have activities to keep them occupied and are taken
care of while the adults are sitting back enjoying
cocktails and dinner. Games, favourite movies, fishing
competitions and fish feeding and all the usual beach
and water activities are available.

Cruise in Luxury, Dive in Paradise
Overview
With only three scheduled cruises each year, this world first
itinerary takes passengers on an incredible journey through
the rich history and diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands.
The 7 Day/6 Night Historical and Cultural Gold Club cruise
ventures off the beaten track, to the international dateline and
the north-east tip of the Fiji Islands. Experience three different
South Pacific cultures; Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian,
while exploring remote island locations, some rarely visited by
commercial vessels before.
This special cruise will feature and be led by an expert in the
history, art and culture of the northern Fiji islands. Our expert
guide will provide you with a truly unique perspective on
the history of the Polynesian Fijians (Kioa Islanders) and the
Micronesian Fijians (Rabi Islanders).
You will visit a traditional Fijian (Melanesian) village and
experience the special honour of participating in the solemn
Yaqona (Kava) welcome ceremony while traditional forms
of entertainment are provided by the villagers. Polynesian
welcome ceremonies, entertainment and village visits, as well
as traditional Micronesian entertainment and a village visit
in Rabi, are the cultural highlights of this cruise. A visit to the
180th Meridian and International Dateline at Taveuni and Rabi
will allow you to stand with one foot in each of two
different days.
The cruise also includes a walking tour of Levuka, Fiji’s
historical capital, a guided tour of Taveuni including Bouma
Eco Park and waterfall. Without a doubt, the most memorable
moment will be the sight at Kioa of islanders in outrigger
canoes and traditional dress, coming to pick you up off your
cruise ship to paddle you ashore for a traditional welcome.

when you’re exposed to the sun. Remember to re-apply your
waterproof sunblock and lip screen throughout the day and to
wear a hat and sunglasses when you are on the beach or boat.
While snorkelling, you are most vulnerable to the sun, so wearing a
T-shirt is recommended.
Snorkelling tipsBlue Lagoon Cruises take you to some of the most beautiful coral
and marine life in the world. To ensure that you and future visitors
can continue to enjoy the beauty of the reefs, please respect this
pristine environment by not removing living shells or coral from
the reef. Also be aware that some coral is extremely fragile, and is
easily damaged. Snorkelling lessons are conducted by our cruise
directors for those who are interested. Snorkelling aids available for
non-swimmers.
Early morning swimWe schedule an early morning swim every day on every cruise.
Simply leave your cabin number with the cruise director the night
before and you will be woken up and escorted to a secluded,
private beach for a swim.
DivingBlue Lagoon Cruises can take you on an unforgettable diving
expedition to explore the fabulous coral reefs. Diving may be
arranged at check-in. Evidence of certification is required for
anything other than an introductory dive.
