CONVENIENCE, FLEXIBILITY, PRIVACY & SAFETY…THE BENEFITS OF FLYING A TILTROTORThe BA609 is the most suitable, flexible, and versatile aircraft for HomelandSecurity operations, surveillance and control of illegal traffics and immigration, search and rescue with the possibility to rescue people at more that 500 KM fromthe coast. When time, place, or mission sensitivity is essential the BA609 Willprovide the most effective mean for short to medium range operations.

The BA609 Tiltrotor combines the speed, altitude, and comfort of a turbopropwith the vertical takeoff and landing capabilities of a helicopter. Having cruisingcapabilities of 25,000 ft., this versatile aircraft will fly in icing conditions andextreme climates, from Arctic to desert. With seating up to nine passengers andat twice the speed of typical helicopters of comparable capacity, the BA609 isdesigned to be the best value multi-mission aircraft for the task. Thisperformance, versatility and flexibility makes the BA609a convenient platform also for peace keeping – peacemaking missions.

An executive could conceivably take off from the helipadof a country house outside London, fly in comfort to ameeting in Frankfurt in just 60 minutes, then fly on toZurich, Milan and back home for early dinner. All with aminimum of ground transportation requirements.

Conversely, covering vast distances in a hurry withouttypical delays required to accommodate fixed-wingaircraft, is reason enough to consider the BA609 Tiltrotor for any fleet. From citycenter to city center, there’s no quicker way to travel from one downtown area toanother for distances between 50 and 500 miles.

The BA609 tiltrotor was also designed to meet the demanding missionrequirements of the offshore environment. In fact, the BA609 range requirementswere established by using the offshore rig location data. The BA609 will makefuture offshore missions possible in about half the time currently experienced, and without the need for re-fueling, in many cases. This will allow high prioritypassengers and cargo to be moved as needed and in ways not possible with anyother aircraft. The BA609 will be ideally suited for the offshore roles as rigsmove farther away from shore, utilizing smaller crews, and making morefrequent trips. The BA609 tiltrotor will find a key role with many of the world'slargest operator's…when speed and range matter, the BA609 is the new industrystandard.

Add up the BA609’s unique capabilities and performance characteristics, add inexcellent value and low lifecycle costs, and the result is superior personalizedtransportation. The BA609 is simply one of the most useful and versatile aircraftin aviation history. Whether in a crowded urban air traffic corridor or inundeveloped region, this revolutionary tiltrotor will shine as exquisite transportanywhere in the world.

A NEW STANDARD OF PERFORMANCEDesigned from the outset for low life cycle maintenance and maximum operational flexibility, the tiltrotor will offer operators highlycost-effective, point-to-point transportation at cruise speeds up to 275 knots and at ranges up to 700 nautical miles, (dependingon operational parameters and atmospheric conditions).

The BA609 will be pressurized and certified for instrument flight into known icing conditions and features composite materialsconstruction, an advanced glass cockpit, and digital flight controls. These advanced technologies will provide new levels ofperformance, reliability and affordability to the aviation world.

ANY PLACE TO ANY PLACE…AT ANY TIME–ON TIMEUntil the advent of the BA609 Tiltrotor, travel has been performed using acombination of private and chartered helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft inconcert with scheduled airline flights. The unique characteristics of the BA609can literally revolutionize this process by giving tightly scheduled executives asingle efficient solution to the problem of getting from any place to any place, atany time on time. The BA609 combines the benefits of several transportationchoices into one aircraft.

In May 2007, the Bell/Agusta BA609 tiltrotor made aviation history with theinaugural airshow presentation during the annual Patrica di Mare, near Rome,Italy. This unique aircraft offers the VTOL capability of the helicopter, with thecruising speed and range of a turboprop fixed wing aircraft. It represents atotally new approach to executive transportation, search and rescue, lawenforcement and Government Agencies applications.
