Purpose There are millions of women, both consumers and abstainers, who have substantive, maternal concerns that need to be represented in the public debate about reforming marijuana laws. The NORML Women's Alliance serves as a forum to address the priorities, community concerns, and social consciousness of women who believe that marijuana prohibition is a destructive and hypocritical policy that sends misleading messages to our young people, and destroys the cherished principle of personal liberty. Mission The NORML Women’s Alliance seeks to replace a failed 75-year old cannabis prohibition with functional system of legalization consisting of taxation, regulation, age restrictions and honest education. About Us

Declarations

1. We believe that the fiscal priorities of marijuana prohibition are wasting billions of dollars on a failed policy.

2. We believe that marijuana prohibition violates states' rights, and improperly expands the reach of government into the families and personal lives of otherwise law-abiding citizens.

3. We advocate for an open, honest conversation about marijuana with America's youth that is void of all propaganda and misleading information.

4. We endorse the science-based evidence regarding the therapeutic applications of medical marijuana as well as the continuation of research into the subject.

5. We oppose the objectification of women in pot-culture and canna-business marketing.

Support

Please consider becoming a local representative for, or contributing to, the NORML Women's Alliance. You will be standing up for millions of like-minded women everywhere and your leadership will be critical in changing the hearts and minds of women (and men) across the country.

We believe that legalizing marijuana will protect our children, keep our communities safe and put Americans back to work.

A project of the 501(c)3 tax-deductible NORML Foundation, The NORML Women's Alliance is a multi-purpose, strategically coordinated coalition that provides a platform to engage mothers and other mainstream American women who, both privately and publicly, support ending marijuana prohibition.

The NORML Women’s Alliance is an accessible forum through which the unique concerns of women can be vocalized and addressed in the public debate over marijuana policy.
