About us

The department proffers a variety of academic and seminar courses.

Philosophy:

We believe that the develop countries need strong academic and professional programs in areas related to Industrial Education. Graduates from the program are well qualified individuals who understand and can adopt to today’s technology.

Mission:

Our mission is to produce graduates with high morals, a vision for our future and the ability to compete in the international marketplace.

English The Department of Applied Arts offers B. A. degree in English and M.A. degree in Applied linguistics.

Bachelor of Art in English

B.A. in English is specially designed to develop and strengthen students’ English skills. The curriculum provides students with theoretical knowledge of linguistics, phonetics and language acquisition. In addition, our courses also aim to enhance students’ fundamental English skills of listening, speaking, writing, and reading. Students can choose elective courses on English for Specific Purposes such as English for Hotel and Tourism, English for Industry and Business English which help prepare for their future careers.

In addition, students can select their minors in Tourism, Japanese, Psychology, Management, and Economics.

Master of Arts (Applied Linguistics - English for Science and Technology)

The program aims to prepare English language teachers with a solid foundation of theories and methodologies to be applied both in professional development and the development of instructional process to meet various needs of learners.

Qualifications:

1. Hold a Bachelor's degree in any field of study; 2. Have a grade point average of at least 2.50 or an average score of 75% 3. Have a TOEFL score of at least 500, TOEFL computer-based score of 173, or IELTS score of 5.5.

Japanese The Department of Applied Arts also offers B. A. degree in Japanese.

Bachelor of Art in Japanese

B.A. in English is specially designed to develop and strengthen students’ Japanese skills. The courses aim to produce graduates who are capable in using students’ fundamental Japanese skills of listening, speaking, writing, and reading Fluently. We provided a Japanese course with Japanese native speaker which afford students to be familiar with Japanese.

Apart from that, we also fully support students to intimate with Japanese language by organized a Japanese camp, Japanese festivals and co- operative education between our students and Tokai University, Meiji University, and FIT in Japan.
