Skånetra�ken is the regional public transportation author-ity and operator in Skåne län, in the south of Sweden.

Skånetra�ken was founded in 1999 and its principal mis-sion is to plan for and market public transport in Skåne, as well as procure and organize the work of private transport companies who run the transport services for Skånetra�k-en.

One of Skånetra�ken’s goals is to make public transporta-tion attractive to all citizens. Skånetra�kenis involved in the future of transportation and supports new initiatives, ideas, new applications and services for making transpor-tation smarter, better for improving customer experience

E.ON is an international privately-owned energy supplier which faces fundamental change: through implementing its new strategy, E.ON will in future be focusing entirely on renewables, energy networks and customer solutions, which are the building blocks of the new energy world.

One of their main focus areas is Smart Home. Smart Homes are responsible for one quarter of Europe’s carbon emissions. For Europe to meet its climate-protection tar-gets, homes need to become more sustainable and smarter. More sustainable means using energy more e�-ciently and conserving resources. Smarter means being able to integrate micro generation units, electric vehicles, and active energy management and to function as part of a smart grid.Their main smart homes project in Sweden is in the West-ern Harbor, Malmö. Here, they partnered with other com-panies to construct Hållbarheten, an eight-unit apartment building that incorporates the latest energy-e�cient technologies to help residents live more sustainably but without compromising on comfort and convenience. Seven families moved into Hållbarheten in 2013. They’re going to study their experience with these new technolo-gies over a three-year period and use what they learn to �ne-tune their smart solutions for existing and new homes.

Internet of Things and People (IOTAP) at Malmö University is a research center at Malmö University that studies how people can get the most out of the Internet of Things. The work involves computer scientists, interaction designers, professionals and users. Through applied research, IOTAP addresses a range of current challenges in society. The aim is to become an internationally recognized research environment known for its integrated approach to technical and human aspects.
