BAE Audio introduces the model 10DC compressor/limiter to compliment their line of Class A series outboard gear. The 10DC features a transformer coupled, all-discrete circuitry which is sonically familiar to the BAE Audio Class A line of gear, like the 1073, for the classic analog sound favorable in today's digital recording. Stepped switches for every control, a reverse analog meter, and the trademark Marconi knobs makes seeing what you're doing easy and repeatable. Independent circuitry for compressor and limiter - use one, or both, for greater control.

The 10DC also implements a true bypass and is stereo linkable.

The 10DC is nicely housed in a steel chassis using the same remote supply as other BAE Audio units.

*Expanded range in level for greater versatility with higher output digital audio during tracking through mixing.

The BAE® 1073 is as authentic as you can get to the original, featuring the same St Ives (Carnhill) transformers as the vintage modules, Elma switches and Canford wire.

The BAE® 1073 looks identical to the original vintage module and will happily retrofit in vintage Neve 80 Series consoles because the entire product is engineered in exactly the same way as the originals: the same chassis construction, connectors, printed circuit board layouts, hand-wired looms, and circuitry.

The 1073D (Deluxe) is essentially a 1073 module with extra high frequencies and a direct input for the 500 series market. Built using the same exact parts as the 10 series module, the 1073D features Carnhill transformers, Elma gold plated switches and Canford wire making this the best sounding Class A mic‐pre EQ module on the block.

Because BAE did not want to compromise, the parts are such that they made this a 3 space wide module for optimal quality in contrast to building a smaller rack space version lacking the same premium components.

The 1066D is completely hand-wired using Carnhill (St. Ives) transformers and has the same mic-line pre-amp as the 1073, with the exception that the 1066D adds a few different frequencies to your pallet.

This unit is popular among guitarists for having a unique mid-range. The original 1066 only had a 10k shelving but this unit offers additional frequencies: 10k Hz,12k Hz,16k Hz, 20k Hz and 24k Hz.

The 1023 is completely handwired using Carnhill (St. Ives) transformers. It has the exact same mic/line preamp as the 1073, but with significantly more frequencies in the mid and high sections.

Aside from simply offering more frequency settings to play with, these expanded EQ sections also allow you to play the mid bell curve directly against the high and low shelves where they overlap. This capability opens the tone shaping possibilities in very interesting and musical ways.

1032

The new 1032 4-band Mic/Line preamp by BAE was inspired by the frequencies of the classic 1081. It uses the same high quality components and manufacturing techniques used in other BAE modules featuring the same Class A transformer-coupled circuits and same modular cards for long-term serviceability.

Along with the passive inductor high-pass filter, the 4-band equalizer provides greater coverage. The high-mid and low-mid frequencies overlap for flexibility in correcting problem frequencies. The 1032 also provides a more comprehensive high frequency shelf up to 24kHz for extended high frequency correction without compromising the midrange.

10 Series Racks - 2CR & 8CR

The 2CR will house two 10 series modules like the 1073,1084,1066 etc (Vintage modules or new).

The build quality of this rack makes it superior to any system on the market today. We use a solid steel internal chassis that are custom molded so that the module slides in easily without the need for guide rails.

lt has a separate output knob and comes complete with 48v for phantom power.

What also makes this rack unique is the JENSEN direct inputs. We mount two JENSEN line transformers so you can plug your bass or guitar directly into the unit.

Each module has its own separate output level control and lighted 48v phantom power switch. The back panel has XLR connectors for mic input, line input and output. The oversize external power supply puts out two times the current necessary to power the rack. It has an extra DC outlet which will operate any of our 1272 preamps or Class A Mixers.

The power supply may be set for 220/240 volt operation for Europe or Australia at no extra charge. As well we can set it for 100 volt operation for Japan at no extra charge.

The 8CM is an 8 channel mixer that can house the 10 series modules such as the 1073, 1084, 1023 and 1004. Both mic and line inputs of each module can be mixed to either left or right channels with individual pan controls and output level. A stereo output is also provided for attenuating all chan-nels.

Bussing amplifiers are the same Class A amplifiers used in our 1272's to retain that signature sound.

312A Module and Rackmount/312B ModuleThe 312A is available as a 500 series module or a single or dual channel 19" rackmount.

Because there are no capacitors in the audio path, the 312A is super fast and punchy, allowing transients to pass easily, making them a favourite for drummers.

Made with the highest quality parts including Jensen input and output transformers and the Avedis® 1122 opamp. The 312A also includes a high impedance DI for instruments.

The 312B Signature Series carries the same excellent dynamic range, frequency response and noise performance the BAE 312 series is known for, but with a newly introduced and modified gain structure which utilizes a lower gain Jensen input transformer, designed to compliment louder sources before needing to implement the pad.

The 312A's higher gain structure occasionally required the pad to be used frequently with louder sources, such as a hot microphone on drums. The 312B uses an alternative Jensen transformer putting it at 7dB's of lower gain to accommodate louder sources without losing the dynamic characteristics of the 312A. This allows engineers the option of owning the 312A as a pre-amp geared toward higher gain and the 312B for toward lower gain.

The 312B, just like the 312A, features the Avedis® 1122 Discrete Op-Amp and input and output Jensen transformers which use direct-coupled circuitry with no capacitors in the signal path. The input impedance of the 312B is designed to remain consistent, even after the pad is engaged, providing a steady load to the microphone. The characteristics of the 312B offer excellent dynamic range, frequency response, high headroom, and excellent noise perfor-mance for a punchy sound which works well with many microphones.

The 312B is available as a single 500 Series module and as a fully loaded six space lunchbox. It includes a custom pull-on switch tailored to accentuate higher frequencies, a DI for instruments, a Phase Reverse switch, 48V for phantom power, and a PAD switch.

BAE are manufactures of high end microphone preamp/equalizers faithful to vintage designs of the seventies and before. With a penchant for high quality transformers like Carnhill (St lves) and Jensen, everything is as close to the vintage philosophy as possible. Not only that but we insist everything is hand-wired/soldered using discrete electronics and not economised on a circuit board.
