Warplanes scrambled to intercept Russian bombers

More than 100 Russian aircraft were intercepted last year, three times more than during the whole of 2013. RAF fighter jets on high alert were scrambled to intercept two Russian bombers as they approached British shores this week, it has emerged.The Typhoon fighters were ordered to fly alongside the long-range Russian Bear aircraft – which are capable of carrying nuclear weapons – until they left the UK's “area of interest”. The jets were launched on Wednesday from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland and RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, the Ministry of Defence confirmed.From a distance of around 1,000 ft, they escorted the Russian pilots for about half an hour as they passed over the Channel and south of Bournemouth and Portsmouth.At no point did the foreign aircraft enter UK airspace. Yet experts said the Russian manoeuvre could be interpreted as an act of aggression, timed to test British readiness.

The Russian planes were flying without their transponders turned on, making them invisible to civilian aircraft. Britain not ruling out providing 'lethal force' in Ukraine

Britain could provide “lethal” force to assist the Ukrainian government in its fight against pro-Russian forces, Philip Hammond has suggested. The Foreign Secretary said that although the UK currently has no plans for any direct involvement in the conflict, the Government "reserved the right" to provide arms to stop the Ukrainian forces collapsing. Barack Obama, the American President, has ordered his officials to “look at all options” open to the United States, including providing weapons to halt the recent rebel advance in the east. The White House has said it will made a decision pending the success of a new peace initiative pushed last weekend by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. While Britain is not yet actively considering a move to send arms, Mr Hammond's comments put him odds with Ms Merkel, who explicitly stated last week that despatching weapons would merely worsen the conflict.

UK cannot defend itself against Putin's military might

Britain cannot defend itself against the military threat posed by Russia, senior army figures have warned. As two RAF Typhoon fighters were scrambled on Wednesday evening to escort Russian long range bombers flying off Cornwall, military chiefs said that the UK “could not cope” with an all- out attack as our defences have been “decimated”. David Cameron said Moscow appeared to be "trying to make some sort of a point”. British troops will be deployed in Ukraine to train soldiers fighting Russian separatists, David Cameron has said, as he delivered an extraordinary warning to Vladimir Putin over his continued aggression in eastern Europe.The Prime Minister said that there would be "deeply damaging" consequences for all of Europe if the EU fails to stand up to Mr Putin in Ukraine, predicting that the Russian president could turn against the Baltic states or Moldova if he is not reined in now.He warned that Mr Putin has opted out of the “rules-based system” of the twenty-first century and warned that the Russian president must expect consequences. Downing Street said that around 75 UK troops will travel to Ukraine to help with medical, intelligence, logistics and infantry skills.

Britain is sending troops to Ukraine. It may seem a paltry amount of troops but they are troops all the same. The Ukrainian crisis is seen by Russia (Putin) as Europe and NATO trying to take away one of its offspring, one of its cubs. Ukraine was once part of the USSR. Putin wants to revive the USSR. He certainly does not want Ukraine to be part of Europe and in NATO. So as Ukraine moved towards Europe, Putin began to send in the troops and stir up trouble. Britain may broadcast the financial secrets of Russia’s ruling elite as part of the information war against the Putin regime, the Foreign Secretary has indicated.Philip Hammond said he was interested by the idea of publicising the wealth of the Russian president’s inner circle in order to embarrass them in front of their people, as part of the response to the ongoing incursion into eastern Ukraine. RAF mounts biggest defence exercise in 30 years after Russian bomber flights

Operation Rising Panther, the first of six proposed air defence operations due to take place every year, will “show Vladimir Putin in no uncertain terms” that Britain is ready, willing and able counter increasing Russian aggression should the need arise, say military sources. More than 30 aircraft, including 20 Typhoons and Tornado fighter jets as well as a range of ED-3, AWACS, Sentinal and Shadow surveillance aircraft took part in the mock attack-and-defence wargames over the North east of England, as well as ground-based command teams. In February the Sunday Express revealed how one of the two Russian T-95 “Bear” long-range bombers intercepted by RAF Typhoons over the English Channel was carrying a nuclear missile designed to destroy a Trident submarine. President Putin, who has recently increased Russian defence spending by a record 33 per cent, authorises around eight Russian incursions into UK air space or Britain's "sphere of influence" every year. Britain and Nato launch biggest war games on Russia's doorstep as tensions grow

Britain and Nato have launched their biggest war games on Russia's doorstep amid growing tensions over Vladimir Putin's military aggression. The largest ever Nato anti-submarine exercise, including the Royal Navy, is under way off the coast of Norway just weeks after reports of Russian submarines encroaching in to foreign waters.At the same time British troops are taking part in the biggest military exercise seen in Estonia since the Baltic nation regained its independence more than two decades ago.The war games come as tensions grow with Russia over Ukraine crisis and fears that the Baltic nations could be next in President Putin’s sights. The commander of the Nato manoeuvres said recent incidents by the Russian military were a “cause of concern” and added “relevance to the exercise”. At least 18 ships and submarines are taking part in Operation Dynamic Mongoose which involves 10 Nato members and Sweden.

Europe can of course see what is coming and is desperately trying to show Russia they are a match as they put on their own biggest war games. But while Russia has been building up its forces, Europe has reduced theirs. As the headline says the tension is growing. Last month, Latvia said it had detected a Russian submarine near its water and last week Finland fired depth charges at an unidentified submarine along its coast.Russian aircraft have also repeatedly approached and violated Nordic and Baltic airspace in recent months, challenging air defences and triggering allied responses.The division between East and West legs of the ancient Roman Empire continue to exist as the Bible said they would. The legs never come together they remain divided. The east became the military half while the west embraced democracy.

Britain could launch air strikes against Isil in Syria within months after Labour signalled that it is prepared to back the Conservatives in the wake of the Tunisia terrorist attack.The Conservatives are preparing to put the issue to a vote despite a backlash from some Tory back-benchers, who have warned that military action could bolster the regime of Bashar al-Assad, the Syria dictator. Last week saw a terrible attack on a beach in Tunisia. 30 British tourists were massacred by a gunman inspired by ISIS. Isis claimed responsibility for the attack aimed at Western tourists and claimed it was only the “first drop of the rain”.This has in turn spurred the UK government to reconsider launching airstrikes on Syria to attack ISIS bases there. The UK came very close before to attacking the Assad regime but the government lost a vote to do so. However it looks like the UK’s involvement in attacking parts of Syria is back on the agenda. This will be highly sensitive for Russia who previously blocked any attack on Syria. What is certain is that events are moving quickly now with ISIS pushing in so many directions…

RAF Typhoons intercept 10 Russian planes over Baltic

RAF quick reaction Typhoon jets intercepted 10 Russian military aircraft during a single sortie last week the Ministry of Defence has disclosed. The RAF fighters from 6 (Fighter) Squadron were launched from their airfield in Estonia after multiple groups of aircraft were spotted by Nato air defences in international airspace near to the Baltic States. Once airborne, the RAF jets identified the aircraft as four Fullback Sukhoi Su-34 fighters, four Foxhound Mikoyan MiG-31 fighters and two Curl Antonov An26 transport aircraft. The Russian planes appeared to be carrying out routine training, but the incident comes amid heightened tensions in the Baltic states in the wake of Russia's annexation of Crimea. The Russian aircraft were monitored by the RAF Typhoons and escorted on their way, the Ministry of Defence said.

This incident is the latest in a series of provocative operations by Russia's air force. In May a number of RAF jets were scrambled to intercept two Russian long-range bombers off northern Scotland. And in February it was revealed that British fighter jets had been scrambled more than 40 times to deter Russian military planes encroaching UK airspace since David Cameron had taken office.The UK of course is part of the king of the south. Russia is the king of the north.We are watching here both kings sparring, pushing and testing each others strength.

The reality is of course that it is Russia doing the pushing against the UK. But Russia is doing this because it feels threatened by the encroaching superstate of Europe.

Daniel 11:40 tells us that we will see the king of the south push back at Russia. When this happens (and it hasn’t yet) Russia will come down like a storm…

No crisis in relations between Saudi Arabia and UK

The relationship between the two countries serves the interests of Britain, says the Foreign Secretary, hoping to reassure Riyadh of the Government's continued support.Philip Hammond has denied there is a crisis in relations between Britain and Saudi Arabia despite a row over human rights and a cancelled bid for a prison contract.The Foreign Secretary told The Telegraph the relationship was "vital" and in British interests, including security interests. He was speaking in Bahrain after visiting Riyadh on what was billed as an attempt to reassure the ruling family of Britain's continuing support in the face of Saudi outrage at recent attacks on the country over its human rights record. Mr Hammond had an audience with King Salman and also met his nephew, the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef.

Ezekiel 38 tells us the new king of the south is Sheba and Dedan. This describes modern Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States. South of Israel. But with them are the merchants of Tarshish and the young lions. Tarshish is Britain. Young lions are the offspring of Britain. US / Australia etc.

Britain joins Syria air war

Britain joined U.S.-led air strikes against Islamic State in Syria on Thursday, but Vladimir Putin issued bitter new denunciations of Turkey for shooting down a Russian plane, demonstrating the limits to international solidarity. British Tornado jets took off from the Royal Air Force base at Akrotiri in Cyprus before dawn, hours after parliament in London voted 397-223 to support Prime Minister David Cameron's plan to extend air strikes from Iraq to Syria. Britain said they struck oil fields used to fund Islamic State. "There are plenty more of these targets throughout eastern, northern Syria which we hope to be striking in the next few days and weeks," Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said. Britain would send eight more warplanes to Cyprus to join the missions.

Just 2 weeks ago it would have seemed impossible for Britain to enter the Syrian war. David Cameron had tried once before a few years ago and was defeated. So what has changed? What changed were the Paris terror attacks. President Hollande called for nations to join a war against ISIS. Britain has responded and becomes yet another major power that is attacking Syria. In Revelation 16 we read of the nations being gathered to the great battle of Armageddon. Revelation 16 is all about the French Revolution. Coming out of the French Revolution were godless and crazy teachings of the Declaration of the Rights of Man. It is the principles in this declaration that form the basis of Human Rights enshrined in European Law. France therefore is the home of the froglike unclean spirits that Revelation 16 speaks of. It is no coincidence that France is calling for nations to go to war over freedom. But actually it is the godless teachings that have emanated from France that are bringing the judgement of the whole world.

Britain 'moving towards military action in Libya'

Britain could launch military action in Libya next, Government sources have said amid fears that Islamic State militants will use their new strong- hold along a stretch of the Mediterranean coast to target Europe.Ministers at the Foreign Office and Ministry of Defence say they are “extremely concerned" by the rapid rise of Isil and other extremist groups in Libya and are considering plans for intervening to tackle the threat. A Government source said ministers were "moving in the direction" of a plan to send military support alongside European allies to defeat Isil in Libya. The French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, on Friday called for international efforts to crush the Islamic State jihadists to extend to the north African country. "We are at war, we have an enemy, that we must fight and crush in Syria, in Iraq and soon in Libya too," he said.

Libya is another failed state. And another country about to see ISIS take control of territory. Britain that has just begun to bomb Syria is now looking to take military action against Libya. When you stop and think about it Israel is a tiny little nation surrounded now by raging conflicts. These conflicts have dragged the powers of the world into the increasing conflict using ever more sophisticated weapons bringing even more destruction. This in turn creates a refugee crisis the like of which has never been seen before. This brings more instability to nations in Europe even though they are some distance from the conflict. We are witnessing a total destabilising of the Middle East. The Bible by the way says the Libya is also involved in attacking Israel with Russia. We are surely living in the momentous days foretold by the prophets.

Britain to support newly-formed Muslim nations' 'ground army' against Isil

Britain faced the prospect of being dragged further into the war in Syria on Tuesday night, as it was poised to support a newly-formed "ground army" from Muslim nations who could attack Isil within weeks. The coalition of 34 largely Sunni Muslim nations on Tuesday night said it was planning to send special forces into Syria to help defeat Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. British forces, alongside the United States and other Nato allies, are already bombing Isil in both Iraq and Syria, but military sources said they would have to provide command and control, intelligence and air support to troops from the new coalition. On Tuesday night Downing Street welcomed the proposals from the Gulf-led nations but declined to comment on military support.British military sources told the Telegraph that while the UK would not provide boots on the ground, they were on standby to provide air support and "command and control".

And here we have Tarshish (Britain) joining the Saudi Arabia alliance! Notice how the Saudi alliance is forming a ground army. Where will this ground army go? We are told to attack ISIS. But where is ISIS? Answer – Iraq and Syria. So now we have an invasion (supported by Britain) by Saudi Arabia – using ground troops into Syria.But of course the stated aim of Saudi Arabia is for Assad to be removed. So any incursion into Syria by Saudi Arabia will hugely anger Iran (and Russia). Analysts believe that the Saudis and their Sunni Muslim allies would also be intent on preventing any vacuum being filled by the Bashar al-Assad regime. We can now see how the roadmap to Syrian peace is doomed to fail. Far from the situation getting calmer we see more and more nations getting involved.

David Cameron (the UK prime minister) has promised the people of Britain a referendum on whether to stay in Europe or to leave it by 2017. He hinted yesterday that it might be next year in 2016. This week he travelled to Europe to meet the heads of the EU asking them to make compromises that will allow Britain to stay in.He does not want Britain to leave but equally he can see the tide flowing against him.The survey this week shows a substantial percentage of people wanting Britain to leave Europe. Cameron would not want a referendum where he endorses a result he will lose. Hence him desperately trying to get concessions from Europe – especially with regard to immigration.
