Philippians 2:1-2

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

Philippians 2:3-5

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:6-8

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross!

Philippians 2:9-11

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

We love God with our strength through how we GIVE and how we LIVE

Serving joyfully requires SELFLESSNESS

Serving with a smile doesn’t view serving as a BURDEN

We generally don’t need reminded to pay attention to our own interests, but easily LOSE sight of others.

It isn’t about looking down on yourself, but LIFTING others up.

Serving joyfully is serving with a SMILE

Paul appeals to serve joyfully, and humbly, by way of REMINDER of how richly they have been blessed.

Why should I…? The answer is simply CHRIST.

Walking in STEP with the Spirit.

Encouragement…are all present to you in Christ; how are they EVIDENT through your to others?

Serving joyfully is letting others see CHRIST in me.

It does not say do what Christ DID; it says think how Christ THOUGHT.

The mind of Christ was to use power to EMPOWER
