Williams rtn8hed fourth at the state championships last year after win­ning the SuperSectionals 250 crown.

They tied, 2-2, during Brighton's Monroe County Division 2 dual meet victory over ER. When David­son decided to move up, Williams went down.

"We didn't get together and de­cide what to do, but we did agree to keep each other appraised," said Brighton Coach Mark Hoyt.

Hoyt said he called Whitcomb about a week ago to tell him that Davidson was moving up. Williams has never beaten Davidian.
