Radiological and Nuclear Facilities

The practices involving ionising radiation other than RR include the following:

•Interim radioactive waste storage facility (CGEA ownership); •A nuclear medicine facility in Kinshasa (CGEA ownership);

• One radiotherapy facility with a linear accelerator; •Experimental food irradiator (approximately 150 TBq of Cs-137 at may 2010); •Over 300 X-ray units for medical practices in Kinshasa; •20 X-ray industrial units and multiple gauges for industrial practices.
