Writer of the Month: Andrea A.

I Am A Butterfly

I am a Butterfly

Let me fly

I feel free like the wind

I soar to the heavens

I see it all

I come back home

Where love soars

Family is there

I am never alone

Andrea loves to write, especially poetry and journaling. To Andrea, writing means giving her heart to whatever she is writing. She hopes to make people smile and feel happy through her writing. In addition to writing, Andrea also loves being around her cat, who is also an inspiration to her writing from time to time!

Artist of the Month: Steve W.

MAINE

Steve has been participating in Bridgeview’s art pro-gram for three years. For Steve, art is a place where he can go to let go of his worries and have fun creating something. Steve most often enjoys creating art that fea-tures nature, wind mills, and light houses. His medium of choice is mixed media and paint by sticker. The art featured above was a paint by sticker creation! Steve discovered this form of art about 5 months ago. He en-joys working on his paint by sticker books because he finds it calming and relaxing.

3 Ways Springtime Can Help Renew Your Health 1 - Clean House - Physically and Mentally The age-old term “Spring Cleaning” can apply to both your home and your mind. Warmer weather allows you to open win-dows and let fresh air into your home. Take time to sort through belongings that haven’t been used since last sea-son and donate the items to a local charity or resale store. A cleaner home is very effective for reducing stress and could also help relieve some allergy symptoms. 2 - Enjoy Seasonal Foods Fresh fruits and vegetables are more plentiful come springtime, allowing you to increase your intake of these healthy foods. Local farmers markets are a great way to pur-chase fresh produce and see what the season has to offer. 3 - Exercise! Spring offers several options to increase your physi-cal activity. With no snow on the ground, bike paths are now availa-ble, as well as nature trails and parks. Gardening is also a great form of light exercise and perfect for getting your garden and yard ready for summer. Exercising and being outdoors after a long winter can work wonders for boosting your mood and improving your mental state. Retrieved from: http://www.homscales.com/
