Planning/Scripting• To start with, we had to go through different parts of the film to

see which parts we wanted to recreate - this also helped with our scripting and helped us pick out certain things to say.

• By picking out different parts of the film, we tried to get different angles to make it look more professional and so we had more choice.

• We had to decide who was going to play which role and this was easily decided amongst us.

• There was not much planning other than arranging things to bring in the next day to start filming.

Props• The props that we used

Technologies Used• We used little technology, including:

• mobile phones for filming

• Laptop for editing

FilmingWe filmed the shots in different locations for example, outside and in the medical room.

There were a lot of shots which could help in the editing stage.

The filming was done on an iPhone 6S camera and was then uploaded to my laptop in order for me to start editing.

As well as this, we have used a range of programs throughout the production

of this piece. I have also used a website called Wix to create our

website.

Editing• For the editing stage, I started with one baseline

sequence which i then rearranged and moved the videos about.

• I used the app iMovie and used iTunes to purchase two songs - All By Myself and Hold My Hand.

• The first draft of the video was very general and I was just getting to grips with the program so I decided to restart.

• The hardest part of editing this was getting the videos and songs in the right places.

Did you have a target audience for your swede?

Yes, our preferred target audience is middle aged women as the main

protagonist is of the same age and gender therefore, the primary audience may feel a

connection.

Media Platforms• We used a range of media platforms to promote our swede.

• We have used platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter. We also made a website in order to make sure the swede is well advertised and promoted on the internet.

• These different platforms are more popular for particular ages. Facebook for example is mainly for middle aged people, whereas Snapchat is mainly aimed at teens and people in their 20s.

• On each platform a lot has been posted, such as clips from the film itself and our swede. We have also posted things such as the logo and posters from the movie itself to promote it and create a buzz for the film.

Website• The website for the Bridget jones Baby

film includes the main trailer, swede trailer and other promotional material in order to get people circulating information about the film. Other aspects of the website include a gallery of Bridget Jones GIFs, the story of Jones herself and a quiz to find your ‘mystery man’. The marketing team have done this, as the Internet is something that is widely used by a large audience so this is an effective platform to promote the film on. The use of GIFS encourages people to use them and send messages on social media. This will spread the message of the new release of the film and get people talking about it to increase the hype and buzz about the film.

Synergy• The cast of Bridget Jones’ Baby did many

interviews on radio stations and TV to spread the word of the new film so that more people see it at the cinema. The interview uses stars of the film to make the audience more interested in seeing it.

• The first trailer was debuted on The Ellen Show as it has a wide middle age female viewing audience.

Exhibition

The amount of views that we have gotten on all media platforms varies.

On our YouTube video, there are over 220 views that are still increasing.

We have managed to get two comments on the video and 11 likes.

The other media platforms, including social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter have managed to get a total of

around 200+ likes and follows.
