4 Key Principles ofCommunicative Teaching

No translation in classBoth student and teacher speak onlyin the language being learned, so youwill think and speak Portuguese fromthe beginning!

Teacher rotationThis will expose you to many differentpronunciations and vocabularies, ensuring that you understand thelanguage in a variety of situations.Teacher rotation also keeps class freshand interesting.

Emphasis on communicationWe focus on speaking and listening.Grammar, reading, and writing are allincluded, but we teach through a verypractical approach. You will speak thelanguage, not analyze it.

Materials and homeworkAssignments will give you theopportunity to continue your languagelearning outside the classroom andsupplement your conversationalpractice with reading and writing.

Our method concerns twoimportant points: acommunicative teachingmethodology and outstandingstudent support. As a studentat Bridge you will learn to speakPortuguese quickly whileenjoying your time in Brazil. Wepromise!

Communicative TeachingMethodology

BridgeBrazil students are often surprisedat how quickly they learn to speakPortuguese. Bridge’s methodologyteaches you to use Portuguese inpractical, everyday situations, such astraveling, meeting people, using thetelephone, conducting business, andparticipating in conversations. You’ll speakPortuguese from the first day of class.

04
