A combination hydrographic and topographic survey of each bridge was performed utilizing a Reson 7101 multibeam swath sounder and an Optec ILRIS optical laser scanner. Data were merged into a 3D Polyworks model and cad files were provided in microstation. The survey was referenced horizontally to the Florida State Plane Coordinate System and vertically to North American Vertical Datum (NAVD88). The maps and models developed from these surveys clearly illustrate the bridge structure by using a combination of laser scanning and construction drawings to view the bridge and its interface with the bathymetry. The models of these surveys were provided to DOT in software that permits the user to move a computer cursor anywhere in the model to obtain xyz values or take measurements. Bridge support piling, etc., were included in 3D models including data below the seafloor. This data was acquired from FDOT construction drawings. Equipment Utilized: Reson 7101 ILRIS Laser Scanner Specialized Experience/Relevance to this Project: Bridge Scour RTK/GPS Horizontal and Vertical Control Documentation
