    BRIDAL PREP GUIDE

    you make my heart smile

  • Can you believe it is already time to start planning your bridals?!?! Hopefully you have found your dress and are excited for this next session. I really want you to feel beautiful and have fun.

Alot of the information that I gave you regarding your engagements will also apply to this session as far as be on time, we will talk location together, if you have certain ideas let me know, etc. Because we have now worked together before and you know what a session with me is like, this guide will be way simpler and to the point. Although, still extremely important! So I hope you still read through everything, so we can have another great session.

    INTRO

  • -Your visionAgain, like with engagements, if you know exactly how you have always pictured your bridals let me know! If you have seen a bridal session I have done and you loved the location or certain poses, let me know.

-LocationThere are so many great places to take bridals. I seem to lean more towards fields, greenhouses, out-doors in general for these sessions. I love the feel and beauty it gives to the images. This does not mean that I wouldnt shoot at the capitol for instance. Just letting you know my preference!

-AttirePlan ahead! It is extremely important to make sure you can get your dress altered in time for these pictures. If possible also have it cleaned, if needed. For the men, please make sure to have your shirt pressed and suit cleaned as well. All alterations need to be done prior to this session.

-Hair and Make-upPlease, please, please, consider getting your hair and make-up done professionally. I cannot stress enough what a difference this will make in your pictures. The outcome is drastically different. Not just because of the obvious of having your hair and make up proffessionally done will probably look better. But really, for me it comes down to, it will make you feel so much more beautiful. This beauty will clearly radiate in your images and will give you an amazing bridal glow. I have worked with several make-up artists in the past that I have loved in Logan, Ogden, and Salt Lake, please dont hesitate to ask if you need recommendations. My go-to is Sam Hurst with Streamline Hair and Design by Sam. You can find her on my vendor page of my website.

-Bouqet and boutonniereAgain, plan ahead for this one. Make sure to have a bouqet and boutonniere ordered for your bridal shoot. Your bouqet does not need to be the exact same as the one for your wedding day. It can be a lot smaller and more simple. If your budget is tight having an all babys breath floral bouqet is actually one of my favorites and they are extremely inexpensive.

    BEFORE THE SESSION

  • You can expect to have your 70 edited images in an online downloadable gallery within 7-10 days after our session.

-Unlike the engagement session, I highly recommend that you bring someone with you on this session. It could be your mom, sister, friend, etc. It will be extremely helpful if they could come to help me in fixing your train, veil, hair, etc. This will help the session be able to go smoother. I wont have to continually be running back and forth and we can get more images taken.

-At my sessions I get into a rythem and flow that helps me to stay creative and pose you well. In order for me to do this the best I ask that you wait until the end of the session for you to request certain poses.

-Most important is honestly to just come relaxed, and ready to have fun.
