Dear: Sirs/ Madams:

My name is Brian S. Stanley and I have 15 years of experience educating youth, teens and adults while facilitating and managing programs that foster creativity, on-going learning and best practices for continued success. I’m seeking an opportunity for career advancement in Higher Education and school program management where my experiences and skills are transferable to your school’s mission and vision.

I’ve recruited and managed staff and students, maintained budgets and inventory while simultaneously directing various projects. I’ve successfully collaborated with numerous Chicago Public Schools departments managing afterschool tutoring, recreational and sports programs. I am the school’s liaison for community organizations that provide free medical, vision and dental services to the students. I constantly take the lead in community relations and many specialized services such as grant writing and coordinating programs with vendors, businesses and other schools. My superiors count on my experience and people skills to manage many projects and initiatives relying on my proven experience and commitment to our students and school. I’m proactive and flexible when needed in planning and restructuring our daily operations.

Along with my fifteen years experience in education, I’ve developed and established business relationships in human resources in the hotel and hospitality industry coordinating internal and external recruitment by attending and hosting job fairs, new hire orientation and attending weekly meetings. I have experience in financial services as an Account Manager and mobile notary for mortgage loans, servicing customers throughout the Chicago land area. I enjoyed providing solutions and directions, speaking with and traveling to meet hundreds of satisfied customers. I’m the first in my family to have attended and successfully graduated college with a Bachelors degree and among the two in consideration for a Masters degree.

Using my creativity and love of teaching, I’ve taught acting classes, wrote, produced and directed stage plays for inner city youth, churches and urban professionals. Furthermore, I’m a sports official for the Illinois High School Association. In addition, I volunteer in community service projects throughout the year providing mentorship, guidance and recreational activities to youth and young adults.

I take pride in organizing and managing programs where hard work, academics, teamwork and lifelong learning are supported and encouraged giving everyone the opportunity to create a better life for themselves. I truly enjoy building relationships that lead to organizational change where a standard of excellence is expected and supported. I proudly support collegiate extracurricular activities, which includes basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, football, and hockey games.

Currently, I’m pursuing a Masters of Public Administration degree and plan to continue my studies in Higher Education Administration.

My business experience working with educators, educational departments and community groups will allow me to become successful as a representative in Higher Education Administration. I would love the opportunity to come in and meet with you again to further discuss my skills and the opportunity to contribute to the team. I can be reached directly at (708) 557-7529 or via email at [email protected]

Kindest Regards,

Brian S. Stanley
