To be eligible for support from Lånekassen on the grounds of residence permit in connection with a family reunion, your reference person must have a different basis for residence in Norway than education. See § 2-2d) in the education support regulations. You find them at www.lanekassen.no/forskrifter. Your husbands residence permit states that he is here to study. If he by now has a different basis for his residence permit (for example work) we may handle your application again. If this is the case you need to send us a copy of his new residence permit or a copy of the decision-letter from UDI that states the basis of his new permit. This documentation need to be received by Lånekassen before the end of the academic year. That is 15.06.2015. See § 14-2 in the support regulations. You should read chapter 2 of the support regulations and the information at www.lanekassen.no/statsborgerskap. There are also other cases where you might be eligible for support, for example if you have worked full-time in Norway for at least 24-months just prior to the start of your education. You can appeal this decision to Lånekassen's Appeals Board. If you would like to maintain your appeal, please use the the enclosed form. You should justify your complaint. The appeal must be submitted in writing within three weeks after receiving this notice. See www.lanekassen.no/klage. The complaint may not be on the regulations, just the use of the regulations. We refer to your letter of August 28, 2014.

You are not eligible for support from Lånekassen.
