Program

Itinerary 1: Botticino / Rezzato / Brescia

Visit the Marble Museum in Botticino. Visit a wine cellar producing Botticino Doc Wine and wine tasting. In

alternative visit a beekeeping farm. Lunch in a farmhouse restaurant with local menu matched with our wines. In the

afternoon, visit the historical centre of Brescia and the UNESCO Site “Longobards in Italy. Places of the Power (558-

774 A.D.)” , the Santa Giulia City Museum.

Itinerary 2: Montichiari / Castenedolo / Montirone

Visit the Archaeological Museum or the Museo Bergomi in Montichiari and the Bonoris Castle. Visit a wine

cellar producing the ITG Montenetto wine, wine tasting. Lunch at a farmhouse or restaurant with local menu

matched with local wines. In the afternoon visit Montirone and the flower composition workshop.

Itinerary 3: Flero / Poncarale / Capriano del Colle

Discover the country architecture among palaces and farmsteads in the land of Agostino Gallo. Visit a wine cellar

producing Capriano DOC wine and wine tasting. Lunch at a farmhouse or restaurant with local menu matched with

local wines. In the afternoon discover the nature and landscape of the agricultural park of Monte Netto.

Itinerary 4: Tastes and traditions from Montichiari

Visit the Giacomo Bergomi Museum in Montichiari. The collection, donated to the Montichiari Municipality by

Giacomo Bergomi is composed by ca. 3000 traditional finds coming from the plain around Brescia and some Alp

valleys. Presentation of the food and wine production of the Association and tasting of wine and local food. Lunch at

a restaurant. Guided visit of the Bonoris Castle. The Castle was built in the last decade of the Eighteenth century by

Count Gaetano Bonoris with the aim of recreating a medieval-style building on the remains of the ancient fortress.

Program

Day one: Arrival of the group at CAST Alimenti (Centro Arte Scienza e Tecnologia dell’Alimento), cooking

lesson based on the traditional local dishes. Lunch at CAST Alimenti with tasting of local products and of

the dishes prepared during the course, matched with DOC wines from the Wine Road.

Accommodation in hotel. In the afternoon, visit a cellar producing Botticino DOC wine, tasting. In

alternative visit a beekeeping farm or other companies. Dinner based on local food and overnight in hotel.

Day two: After breakfast, second cooking lessons about traditional local second courses. Lunch at CAST

Alimenti with tasting of local products and of the dishes prepared during the course, matched with DOC

wines from the Wine Road. In the afternoon visit a wine cellar producing Capriano DOC and IGT

Montenetto wines. Tasting. Dinner at a restaurant or farmhouse. In the afternoon visit Museums or

fundamental notions about wine-food matching, with particular reference to the production of the Wine

BRESCIA: COOKING LESSON

In Brescia there is a high quality cooking school, associated to the Wine Road Longobard Hills: the

Cast Alimenti. This school offers all year round professional courses for chefs and restaurant staff,

but organizes also, upon demand, courses or lessons for all those who like to cook or for tourists

staying for a few days in Brescia. Here you find a proposal which is particularly suitable to a small

incentive group or for a small group of friends willing to discover the secrets of Northern Italian

cuisine.

Full day program: At 09.00 am arrival of the group a Cast Alimenti, meeting with the Chef and short

presentation of the school. After the presentation, cooking lesson (first courses, second courses,

risottos, pizzas and focaccia, cakes and pastry, according to your choice). After the lesson buffet

lunch at the School’s Restaurant. In the afternoon, guided visit of Brescia Historical Centre and the Santa

Giulia City Museum.

Day two: after breakfast visit one of the museums of the territory or visit the historical centre in

AMARONE TOUR A five days tour between the Valpolicella Wine Region and Lake Garda, perfect for groups of 15 or

20 persons, for all those who love good dishes and good wine, tradition and conviviality.The

itinerary includes a guided visit in two Valpolicella Wine Cellars, with tasting of DOC wines

accompanied by local cold cuts, cheeses and marmellades, a guided visit at the renaissance Villa

Program

Day 1: group arrival in Valpolicella, accomodation in double rooms at

Agriturismo El Pendola. Welcome dinner with typical dishes of local

Day 2: after breakfast, pick up the bicycle and ride to the Allegrini

Wine Cellar in Fumane di Valpolicella. Visit. Then ride to the nearby

renaissance Villa della Torre for tasting of local wines and food (cold

cuts, cheeses, marmellades etc.). Dinner and overnight in the

agriturismo.

Day 3: after breakfast bicycle excursion from Fumane di Valpolicella

to Bardolino (Lake Garda), with stop at the wine cellar Meroni in

Sant’ Ambrogio di Valpolicella for visit and wine and products

tasting. Arrival in Bardolino and free visit of the center of this

picturesque hamlet on the lake. Back to Fumane for dinner and

overnight in the agriturismo.

Day 4: after breakfast, private bus transfer to Salò, short visit of the

historical centre. Private boat excursion to the Garda Island. Guided

visit of the marvelous gardens, followed by a tasting of local wines,

accompanied by cold cuts and cheeses, on the panoramic terrace of

the villa. Boat transfer to Garda, short stroll in the lively alleys of the

town and then private transfer by bus back to Fumane for dinner

and overnight.

Half-day or full day excursions from Desenzano with cruise boats of about 10 meters length,

skipper on board (maximum six persons per boat).

It is possible to decide the itinerary together with the skipper according to time at disposal and

weather conditions. In case of full day excursion it will be possible to stop at a restaurant on the

lake and have lunch.

FROM THE MOUNTAIN TO LAKE GARDA BY

BIKE One-week itinerary between Lake Iseo and Lake Garda, including the visit of the archeological park of

Darfo Boario Terme and accommodation in an agriturism. Ideal to pass some days immersed in the

nature of the mountains around Brescia and between the green, morenic hills of the Lake Garda.

Program

Day 1 Arrival at Ponte Di Legno and hotel accommodation.

Day 2 Departure in direction to Edolo. Transfer to Capo di Ponte and hotel accommodation.

Day 3 Departure to visit the archeological park of Darfo Boario Terme. Arrival in Marone with hotel

ISLE OF GARDA

Guided visit of the Isle of Garda - Departure in private boat from and to Salò (Brescia)




The isle is located at the lakeside of Lake Garda belonging to the province

Brescia, only a few meters away from San Felice del Benaco. Today the isle’s

charm is due to the extraordinary villa in neogothic Venetian style, designed

by architect Luigi Rovelli in the early 19th

century. An impressive, harmonious

construction, rich in architecturally surprising details.

The villa is famous for a beautiful painting by Carlo Carloni from the 18th

century.

The villa is surrounded by terraces and gardens in Italian style decreasing up

to the lake. The vegetation of the whole isle is flourishing and untouched, rich

in local and exotic plants, rare essences and unique flowers.

On the central terrace in front of the villa the garden is designed in classical

Italian style with

hedges which are masterly shaped and represent various figures comprising

the coat of arms of the family De Ferrari who gave birth to the garden.

Next to the villa grow palms which originally derive from the Canaries. On the

lower terrace, at the lakeside, trees of different fruits can be found: kaki

trees, lemon trees, pear trees, pomegranate trees, olive trees, orange trees,

grapefruit trees, Indian fig trees, jujube trees and caper shrubs.

There are also cultivated roses of the China rose, the rose Lady Hillingdon, the

yellow Lady Banks’ rose, valerian, bougainvillea and other plants and flowers

of rare beauty.

The most beautiful and wild part of the garden is located in the flat area of

the isle, where evergreen cypresses, swamp cypresses, oaks, cedars, poplars,

laurel trees, plane trees, firs and different types of pine trees mixed with

shrubs and typical Mediterranean essences can be found.

By today this park is a well kept secret and only recently accessible to the

public.

Short holiday in Lombardy -

Franciacorta & Longobard hills Brescia, the landscape around Lake Garda and Lake Iseo as well as the Wine Road of the province

are still to discover. Many have already been to the shores of Lake Garda and also the dark sides of

the often disturbing mass tourism there are pretty well-known. Totally different is Brescia, a city

which enables at the same time to do a walk through millenniums.

But not only culture is important here, also culinary delights & wine are of an exquisite quality. As

made for a short holiday with tastings, visits and real Holy Communions in a region where

hospitality is more or less celebrated glass by glass.

Starting point of this short trip is the hotel Palazzo Novello in Montichiari. The palace has been

lavishly renovated for years and surprises everywhere with details from a past, splendid epoch. No

room equals another one and also the atmosphere in the house exudes a very relaxed charm. The

location nearby the Lake Garda as well as the Wine Road Longobard hills, the Franciacorta and the

beautiful city Brescia is very convenient to discover this part of the Lombardy.




Program proposal

Day 1 – Arrival and Brescia

Arrival at the hotel . After checking in excursion to Brescia, where you

have got time for visiting the old town or the museum Santa Giulia. In

the evening a typical menu in a traditional tavern in the old town is

waiting for you.

Day 2 – Wine Road Longobard Hills

Not very well-known outside Italy are the wines of the Wine Road

Longobard Hills, like for example the Botticino, which is pressed from

Barbera, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Schiava gentile. Or also the

Capriano del Colle Bianco, which consists of different Trebbiano grapes.

Famous is the region between Brescia, Capriano and Montichiari

however also for extraordinary Salumi (from Salami to Pancetta up to

the Crudo del Colle San Pietro) and honey. All these products and many

more are served during the three tastings of this day. In the evening

finally follows a menu created by chef Luca Barbi in Capriano del Colle.

Day 3 – Wine Road Franciacorta

In the late morning you are expected in the Cantina Ricci

Curbastro where you can get an impression of the different

Vini Brut of the Franciacorta accompanied by typical products

of the region. Moreover the wine museum of the same wine-

growing estate will be visited. Afterwards there is enough time

to spend the afternoon at Lake Iseo or to visit the monastery

San Pietro Lamosa. In the evening follows a culinary highlight

with a menu at the restaurant Due Colombe in Cortefranca of

Franciacorta.

Day 4 - Montichari

The day of departure is reserved for Montichiari where the

beautiful old town and the castle Bonoris can be visited. Or

you can do a bit of shopping in the nearby Outletcenter. At

midday we will strengthen you with a last Pranzo (lunch) for

the return journey, unlike you do not plan an extension…
