“The meat diet is the serious question. Shall human beings live on the flesh of dead animals? The answer, from the light that God has given is, No, decidedly No. Physicians who claim to understand the human organism ought not to encourage their patients to subsist on the flesh of dead animals… The practice of eating largely of meat is contracting diseases of all kinds, -cancers, tumors, scrofula, tuberculosis, and numbers of other like affections.” CD p.388-675

There are two types of breast CA:
1. Non-invasive– stays within the breast tissues.
2. Invasive – it spreads to other parts of the body; it is the most common among women worldwide.

Data obtained from 88,803 pre-menopausal women between 26 and 45 years through questionnaires related to nutrition.
The questionnaire about nutrition listed different types of food and 9 categories of frequency of intake (from “never” up to “6 times a day”).
In addition to the intake of food other factors were considered such as height, weight, family and personal history, race and smoking.

Red meat – a greater intake during early adulthood caused a 22% increase in the risk of breast cancer.
Poultry – a greater intake during early adulthood was associated with a smaller incidence of breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
Substituting a portion of other type of protein such as legumes, poultry, nuts and fish was associated with the reduction by 14% of the risk of breast cancer in general and premenopausal breast cancer.

Physical Exercise “Regular exercise reduces the risk of
cancer” Paddock, C. (2012, June 25). "Keeping Fit May Reduce Breast Cancer Risk." Medical News Today. Retrieved fromhttp://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/247008.php.Results: Women who exercise during the reproductive years
and menopause reduce the risk of breast cancer. Excercising 10-19 hours per week in the open air
and sun presented the greatest reduction in the risk of breast cancer by 30.
All levels of exercise reduce the risk of breast cancer in American women positive to hormone receptors ER and PR.

I3C (Cruciferous, genus Brassica )Indole-3-carbinol seems to work in several ways :
(1) It facilitates the conversion of estrogen to a form that is less carcinogenic.
(2) It partially blocks the effects of estrogen in the cells,
(3) It directly eliminates or inhibits cancerous cells,
(4) It reduces the levels of free radicals, which can stimulate the development of cancer by damaging DNA. 5

“Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator. These
foods prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing. They impart a strength, a
power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect, that are not afforded by a more complex and
stimulating diet.”CD p. 310-471
