Use caution here because there is no room for two vehicles to pass. At the top of the Hogback is Murphy A, B, and C camp sites. This camp easily has some of the best views but the high winds at the top could be a nuisance for campers. The descent from Murphy’s was another switchback shelf road and at the bottom the terrain slowly changed from steep and twisty to flat and sandy. Here we traveled around the rim often coming within feet of the drop off to the Green River below. After roughly 39 miles, day two driving was complete and we rolled into our final camp at Potato Bottom B. This camp site is in very close proximity of the river but because of the thick undergrowth and steep muddy banks it’s not worth making the walk. That night we enjoyed some juicy sirloins, loaded mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Q: What is your job/role at Low Range Off-Road? Controller

Q: How long have you been working here? Since Jan ’15 as controller, before that for about 8 years as outside accountant

Q: What is the best thing you like about working here? The people, of course. Also – have learned a lot about spreadsheets and the value of timely reports in running a business.  Q: Where are you originally from?  I was born in Salt Lake City but grew up all over the US because my father was in the Navy.

Q: What's your background?  I was a bookkeeper for many years, then went back to school to get a Masters in Accountancy degree from BYU. Have worked in accounting for about 15 years.

Q: Any favorite sports teams? BYU football. Do like the March Madness matches as well.

Q: What vehicles do you own?   Unfortunately nothing fun – Just a Toyota Camry.

Q: What is your family like?   You really asked that? Boring – just 15 children, 10 daughters and 5 sons. Have 44 grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Have 2 great-grandchildren. And yes, I am way too young to have great-grands. Love them all – great fun, really not boring at all!

Q: What are your hobbies?  Grandchildren, reading, cake decorating, cooking for really large groups, learning about off-roading. Have son-in-laws who have been involved in off-roading.

Q: When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? I have always loved teaching, and thought I would teach high school math or English. I fell into accounting because of my strong math background and found I loved it too.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant?   Probably Red Lobster. Love coconut shrimp!

Front axle:!has Trail-Gear big armor, Marlin Crawler knuckle ball gussets, Low Range upper axle truss, Trail-Gear inspection port, Low Range ultimate knuckle rebuild kit, IFS hub swap to match the IFS width rear axle, Land Cruiser discs with IFS calipers, fj80 high pinion 3rd member with 5.29 gears and a Spartan locker.

Front suspension:!is random leafs, with an IFS steering box swap and Trail-Gear high steer.

Rear axle:!is a 1987 IFS width, with Trail-Gear big armor, Land Cruiser wheel cylinders, 5.29 gears and an ARB air-locker supplied by a York engine driven compressor.

Rear suspension:!is Chevy leafs using a Low Range swap kit, with a Low-Range upper shock mount.
