• All connect• All of them portray their characters really well. • There’s the baddy, the popular, the nerd, the

sporty and the weirdo. • The camera shots are repetitively continuous. • One shot of a character, then a different one and

back to the first one

Performance and movement

• The characters don’t really use any body language or gestures because the camera is focused on the facial expressions.

• They all express different emotions linked to their original character.

• They all have a different appearance, reflecting on their character.

Lighting and sound

• The lighting doesn’t change throughout the scene because the shots are taken in the same room and the light intensity is approximately the same in the entire room.

• There is barely any speaking because all of the communicating is done by eye contact.

Shot types:

• Two shot/reverse shot: When Bender leaves the room to go smoke, this shot is used to show the reaction between the characters. Shots from each character’s face suggest their confusion and don’t really know if they should join him or not. Since he is the “cool” one in the group, they want to take part of his rebellious act. Every teenager wants to be a cool kid who doesn’t really care.

Shot types:• The first shot is a wide shot: We can see parts

of the set but the camera is still focusing on the two character’s reaction towards eachother.

• Second shot is a mid shot: After the first shot the camera cuts and focuses on the Claire and the editor used a selective focus.

• Eye line match: Next shot goes back to the two and we assume that Blender is looking at Claire.

• Camera returns to Bender and Brian. Bender leaves, camera still focusing on Brian.

• Then back to the mid shot of Claire: she sees Bender leaving.

• Then Claire stands up but the camera doesn’t move to focus on her face.

• Then we see quick shot of Andrew’s reaction.• Then a selective focus of Brian looking at Claire

leaving in the background. • Mid shots of the characters looking at

eachother
