IGC Brava!® adds viewing, collaboration, redaction and publishing functions to IBM enterprise content management (ECM) systems, helping to streamline business workflows and processes. Brava offers one viewer and one complete solution for IBM offerings and ECM platforms and can tie into IBM FileNet P8, Content Manager 8, Case Manager, Maximo and TRIRIGA and can work with Workplace/XT or Content Navigator.

Access the content you need, quickly

Brava makes it easy to view and collaborate on content in virtually any format, including Microsoft Office documents, PDFs, images and more—all from within a single, easy-to-use viewer. Search features, page thumbnails and fast viewing allow quick access to content. Brava is compatible with major web browsers, so it works on PCs, Macs and even the Apple® iPad®. Brava detects when users are on an iPad and delivers a streamlined, touch-enabled interface.

Collaborate efficiently

Brava’s unique Changemark® notes allow team members to add and reply to comments, and to assign each comment a type and state. The Changemark panel steps reviewers through every comment, ensuring none are missed. This is especially useful for working with complex CAD drawings or very long documents. No more scanning for every markup—just hit the Next button and jump right to it. Brava records an audit trail of both the discussion and the outcome. All annotations and markups are saved in a separate XML file, leaving the source document untouched.

Merge or split documents

Within a simple graphical interface, drag page thumbnails from multiple files—even in different formats—to create a new document. Rearrange or remove pages as desired, then save the new file as a PDF or TIFF, or in IGC’s secure Content Sealed Format (CSF). Any annotations within the source files can be merged into a new markup set or burned into the new document. Use the same interface to split a document by dragging page thumbnails to create a new file.

You also can add a watermark and banners to the new file, which can include metadata from the database, static text like “Confidential” or system information like the current date and user.

Compare documents

Compare versions of documents, images, CAD drawings and more with differences highlighted. Compare drawings side-by-side or overlay them. Use the text comparison view to quickly see changes between documents, even if they are in different formats. For example, check wording in an original contract in Microsoft® Word against a signed PDF document.

Streamline repetitive reviews

Reviewing forms is a breeze with Checkview. Create a template marking each area that needs to be checked along with instructions to assist reviewers. When a reviewer opens the form, Checkview steps them through each area, prompting them to accept or reject it and enter notes if desired.

Add electronic signing to any workflow

Sign documents quickly and easily. Set up a template highlighting areas to sign. Signatories click each active area and choose to add their signature, printed name, initials or image (such as a professional seal), or they can click a “Sign All” button. Documents can be saved as PDFs with signatures burned in. Brava’s electronic signature function can be integrated into any business process, pushing metadata to the database to legally record the signature event. With the Brava HTML5 client, integrators can set up a workflow that adds a signature page to each document to be signed and routes documents to each signatory.

Protect sensitive content

Brava’s easy-to-use redaction tools remove sensitive content from documents, drawings and images. Redact content with intelligent pattern matching and text search, or use area selection tools. Add reason codes for each redaction. Finalize the redacted file in TIFF, PDF or IGC’s secure CSF with targeted content and all metadata completely removed.

Publish documents

Brava does not allow users to save original files locally—source files stay on the server, untouched. Brava allows authorized users to transform any document to TIFF, PDF or IGC’s secure CSF. CSF offers security features such as password protection, restricted print permissions and file expiration (time bombing). Include markups and add watermarks and banners to the new file, including predefined labels like CONFIDENTIAL and DRAFT as well as information such as the user, date and more. Watermarks and banners can also display any metadata associated with the file.

Work with CAD drawings

Brava supports vector-based viewing, making possible precise measurements and crisp details at any zoom level. Use the Takeoff feature to count doors, windows and other items and to aggregate areas for flooring or other materials. Export the counts and measurements in a spreadsheet to ensure that supply orders are accurate.

HTML5 client is compatible with all major web browsers and runs on both PCs and Macs.

Additional external APIs are available for integrators.
