CHEMICALS Analyzer Extractive: Model 8500
The series 8550 Single channel transmission analyser is used as a
process analyser in chemical and electronics industry and in many
applications in the utilities of Food&Beverage industry. The
configuration is as follows: One controller and one extractive sensor
for monitoring the process outside the process in a flow-through
chamber. The sample is pumped to the analyser cabinet,
conditioned and then measured. The sample cell can be temperature

Conductivity and/or pH : Model 8700
The series 8700 analyser is designed only for non-ultrasonic
sensors, like conductivity and/ or pH. The purpose of the analyser is
to enable local display, settings and control of dosing systems. If
none of these features are needed, we advise the use of the
Transmitter type of electrodes (TCT and pHT). The sensor is then
connected to a convertor and to a transmitter part.

Static Emulsion Scanning : Model 9710
The system 9710 provides emulsion scanning and mapping
capabilities in a static environment. This tool is excellent for
studying the break-down process of emulsions in a controlled
environment, for testing stabilizers in food and dairy products,
and for testing the efficiency of additives to speed up the
breakdown of crude oil emulsions.
Dynamic Emulsion Scanning : Model 9720

CONTINOUS EMISSION MONITORING
Gas Analyzer
G-CEM 4100 Extractive Flue-Gas Analyzer
The GCEM4100 is a hot extractive analyzer for difficult flue gas
monitoring applications. It uses infrared absorption spectroscopy to
measure up to seven pollutant species in a single self-contained
unit. Many conventional extractive systems require the sampled gas
to be cleaned and dried to a very high standard prior to analysis,
invariably resulting in high maintenance costs. Such elaborate pre-
conditioning is not required by the GCEM4100. Process gases are
continuously drawn through a fine filtered probe installed in the
flue gas and transported to the measurement chamber via a heated
sample line - without further conditioning.
DUST MONITORS
DCEM 2000 Dust Monitor
The DCEM2000 is a dual-pass transmissometer configured for the continuous
measurement of opacity and dust concentration in flue gases. Its unique optical
arrangement provides continuous measurements of
transmissivity of visible light across the stack in opposite
directions, providing not only an accurate average of the dust
loading in the stack, but a dynamic assessment of any mis-
alignment errors due to stack movement. The analyzer is
equipped with normalisation data inputs for temperature,
pressure, oxygen and water vapour. Suitable for use on all
large combustion plant processes. Integrates directly into the CODEL SmartCEM system.
FLOW MONITORS
VCEM 5100 Flue Gas Flow Monitor
Continuous on-line analysis often only considers the density of the
emissions (e.g mg/Nm3) In order to obtain a measurement of total
emissions for pollution monitoring (e.g kg/hr) it is necessary to
either calculate or measure flow within the gas stream. The
VCEM5100 provides non-contact measurement of gas velocity using
a time-delay correlation of flue gas infrared emissions received by
two detectors spaced a fixed distance apart.

Gas velocities ranging from 1m/sec to 50m/sec can be measured. The technique is
suitable for all combustion gases including hot gases and gases with a high dust
burden. Designed as a stand-alone instrument.
TUNNEL SENSORS
TUNNEL CRAFT III CO/NO/VIS Monitor
The TunnelCraft III CO/NO/VIS Air Quality Monitor
(AQM) uses both infrared light and visible light channels
to measure carbon monoxide, nitric oxide and visibility
in a single compact instrument.
The AQM consists of a transceiver that projects infrared
beams to a reflector unit mounted 3m away. The
reflected light is received by the transceiver and the
specific absorption is measured to determine the
visibility dimming coefficient, carbon monoxide and
nitric oxide concentration in the tunnel atmosphere.
TUNNEL CRAFT III Visibility Monitor
The TunnelCraft III Visibility Air Quality Monitor (AQM)
uses visible light channels to measure the visibility
within a tunnel environment. The AQM consists of a
transceiver that projects visible light to a reflector unit
mounted 3m away. The reflected light is received by the
transceiver and the specific absorption is measured to
determine the visibility dimming coefficient within the
path of the beams.
TUNNEL CRAFT III No2 Monitor
Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is fast becoming the most important measurement in
tunnels and will eventually replace nitric oxide (NO) as the key measurement.
The TunnelCraft III NO2 Air Quality Monitor (AQM)
uses a high-power blue LED to measure the
attenuation of UV/blue light by NO2 in the tunnel
atmosphere.
The AQM consists of a transceiver that projects the
light beam to a reflector within a stainless steel tube mounted 1m away.
Sintered filters in the measurement chamber allow gases from the tunnel
atmosphere to diffuse into the chamber while inhibiting the passage of
particulates.The NO2 sensor can be used as a stand-alone instrument or as part
of a multi-point monitoring system.

TUNNEL CRAFT III Air Flow Monitor
The Air Flow Monitor (AFM) uses ultrasonic technology to
measure air velocity. A single transmitter and an array of four
receivers are contained in the measuring head. Air velocity and
direction are calculated from measurements of the phase shifts
from the ultrasonic signals at the receivers. The sensor is
compact, contains no moving components, requires no routine
maintenance and is unaffected by interruptions from passing
vehicles and acoustic reflections within the tunnel. The Air Flow
Monitor is designed as a stand-alone sensor.

SMOKE DETECTOR
Smoke detector is designed for the early detection of fire within
a confined public place. As a roof mounted instrument it utilises
CODEL’s well-proven technique of the absorption of transmitted
light across a fixed measuring path. Extensively tested for
vibration and the unique conditions of rolling stock, the
instruments have been successfully operating inside the roll-on-
roll-off passenger trains operated by Eurotunnel for over 15
years.
FLAME DETECTOR
Flame detectors are designed to detect the ulta-violet light
emitted by an open flame within a confined public place. The
robust, ultra-violet floor-mounted and ceiling mounted flame
detectors are easily installed and maintenance is limited to
periodic cleaning of the lenses – as little as once per year
depending on the application.
FLAME DETECTOR
In the event of fire in a building or other structure, such as an oil rig, Health and
Safety regulations require that immediate action be taken to prevent the ingress
of smoke and fume into the air-conditioning and ventilation
ducts. The Model 125 explosion-proof smoke monitor is
specifically designed to be mounted in the ventilation ducts
and give rapid activation of smoke damping equipment to
minimize the risk to human life. The detector is constructed
and tested to EExd llB T5 standards enabling it to operate in hazardous areas.

TESTOMAT 2000
The Testomat 2000 automatically determines water hardness,
carbonate hardness, the p-value via titration. It is ideal for
monitoring the water quality of water treatment, water blending
and drinking-water plants. Monitoring and quality control of
softening plants, decarbonisation plants, steam boilers,
measuring acidic values in decarbonisation and desalination
plants.
TESTOMAT 2000 Cr VI
The process photometer Testomat 2000 Cr VI is a wet-chemical online instrument
for monitoring the content of chromate in the 0 to 2.0mg/l range or chrome VI
(Cr VI) in the 0 to 1.0 mg/l range using the colorimetric method.
The device uses a photometrical analysis principle based on DIN 38405.
Application ranges are , e.g., controlling and monitoring wastewater treatment
plants in the electroplating industry. Two separately programmable limit value
contacts allow various controlling and monitoring tasks.
TESTOMAT 2000 Br2
The process photometer Testomat 2000 Cr VI is a wet-chemical online instrument
for monitoring the content of bromine (Br2) in the range of 0 – 5.6 mg/l (ppm).
Measuring Ranges:
0.02 mg/l (ppm) in the range 0 – 2.23 mg/l (ppm)
0.02 mg/l (ppm) in the range 2.23 – 5.6 mg/l (ppm)
