Branch Operation-GB Perspective Branch Opening There is no separate branch batch opening option in FCUBS 11.2 i.e. to start branch operation Branch Batch opening is not required. So all tellers and supervisors except Cash Users (Cash Tellers and Supervisors) can start working simply by Log-In the system. Cash receive tellers will open their Tills through short path 9001. Short Path 9001 Select your Till ID from List of Value. If more than one Till ID is available in LOV, please contact with help desk. Do not open any Till which is not matched with your Employee ID After selecting your Till ID you are required to press Save Button to open your Till (Previously batch open). Branch Operation-GB Perspective

Branch Opening

There is no separate branch batch opening option in FCUBS 11.2 i.e. to

start branch operation Branch Batch opening is not required. So all tellers and

supervisors except Cash Users (Cash Tellers and Supervisors) can start working simply

by Log-In the system.

Cash receive tellers will open their Tills through short path 9001.

Short Path 9001

Select your Till ID from List of Value. If more than one Till ID is

available in LOV, please contact with help desk. Do not open any Till

which is not matched with your Employee ID

After selecting your Till ID you are required to press Save Button to open your Till (Previously

batch open). A success message will come “Transaction Completed Successfully”. So Cash

Receive Tellers can start their transaction now.

Cash payment Tellers will have to wait for following steps performed by Chief Cash

Teller (Cash-in-Charge).

VT Opening: VT is separate user in FCUBS. Generally the password will be kept with the

Chief Cash Teller. He will open the Vault after log in to user ID “Branch Code_VT” and

using short path 9001.

Now Chief Cash Teller will log in to his user “Branch Code_Employee ID” and open his

Batch through 9001 like previous steps.

Now Chief Cash Teller will transfer fund from earlier opened VT through short path

9007.

After selecting your Vault ID you are required to press Save Button to open your Vault. A

success message will come “Transaction Completed Successfully”. It means your VT is

opened for transaction.

Chief Cash Teller Will Input the Currency Field and Transaction Amount and then press save button.

This will require authorization and he may make local authorization by using “Branch Code _VT”

user or send the transaction to 2nd Man or Manager for authorization.

After Authorization, Chief Cash Teller may check his Till Position by using short path

TVQR.

Now Payment Teller(s) will Buy Cash from Chief Teller through short path BCFT.

Till ID: The ID from which Payment Tellers are going to buy Cash for Transaction.

Transaction Amount: The Amount that is to be transferred by a particular Payment Teller.

After pressing Save button this Transaction will be authorized by Chief Cash Teller or

other authorizer.

After completing the transaction, Cash Payment Teller will inquire his Till (Cash in

hand) position through TVQR.

Branch Closing:

Step 1:

For Tellers>>>All Users (Cash+GB+Credit+Foreign Trade+Others) will check their Workflow. In

workflow tellers will have to clear their Pending, Approved, Unassigned and Pending Auth List.

Teller must clear these four

statuses before closing batch

After completing the BCFT, payment teller will see his Total Cash position and can make

payment until his total cash position is reduced to zero. Then he can buy cash from Chief

Cash Teller or any other receive teller to make further transaction.

For Supervisors>>> Supervisors will have to check their workflow whether any pending

transactions is in assigned list or not.

Step 2:

All users (Cash+GB+Credit+Foreign Trade+ Others) must run the query for his

pending/unauthorized transactions through short path EISVWPEN. If any

transaction comes in the list, respective tellers will have to take necessary action (delete or

authorize) against that transaction.

ID will be defaulted as User ID/ Log In ID

Pending Transaction list of a particular user will be viewed here. From

Events code (Function ID) column Teller will know what type of transaction

is pending. So he will have to take necessary steps before closing his batch.

Step 3: When tellers will complete his all pending transactions/maintenances, they will be allowed to

close their batch through short path TVCL. Batch closing is required for Cash Tellers and

Cash-In- charge only.

Step 4:

Supervisors will run 9012 to view whether all Till/ Vaults are opened or closed and following

screen will come.

Step 5:

Branch will run End of Day Maintenances through short path EODM. Before running

EODM, Authorizer has to check EISVWPEN for whole branch.

ID will be defaulted as User ID/ Log In ID.

Authorizer will delete the ID and select

the branch code to view pending list for

whole branch

If authorizer gets above type of pending list, he will ask respective officers from ID

column to clear their pending transactions and or maintenances.

Step 6: After clearing all pending list by the tellers and or authorizers, supervisors will run

EISVWPEN again to see the transactions / maintenances status by inputting respective

branch code only and will get the following type of screen.

Step 7: Now supervisors are allowed to run EODM (End of Day Maintenances) and following screen

will come

Only EODM transaction will be pending and this indicates that branch batch may be closed

Short Path EODM

Click here on “Run EOD” to Run EODM. Successful message will give you the confirmation that

your branch has made all transaction successfully and no pending is there and your branch is

successfully closed. Error messages will come if any transaction or maintenances are in pending

and or in unauthorized status. Error message may also come if all tills and vaults are not closed.

VAULT: An user, preferably Chief Cash Teller (Cash In Charge). Only Cash in Charge will be allowed

to buy and sale cash from vault. At every BOD, Vault (VT) has to be opened through Short Path 9001.

Teller Operations:

Cash Teller (Receive): 1. Teller will open his till (teller batch--9001) to receive cash. 2. They will use

1401 to receive cash which will update his till / Teller Position. 3. After day end, receive tellers will

get their cash position from TVQR (Till- Vault position Query) Screen. If any balance is there, he

will inform the amount to his Cash in Charge who will buy the same from Receive Tellers through

BCFT (Buy Cash from Teller).

Cash Teller (Payment): 1. Teller will open his till (teller batch—9001.) 2. He has to buy cash (BCFT)

from Chief Cash Teller to update his Till/Teller Position. 3. No cheque will be passed if the

transaction amount is greater than the Cash Position of that teller. 4. In that case teller will have to

refill his Till/ Cash position through Buy Cash from Teller / Cash in Charge through BCFT. 5. After

day end, payment tellers will get their cash position from TVQR (Till- Vault position Query) Screen.

If any balance is there, he will inform the amount to his Cash in Charge who will buy the same from

Receive Tellers through BCFT (Buy Cash from Teller).

Cash Remittance

***All Accounting entries are enclosed in the GB Operational Manual****

Feeding Branch/ Remit Branch: One branch is

selected as feeding branch for a zone. Let say,

Branch 101 is selected as feeding branch for

Dhaka Zone. If Branch 101 remits cash to 105

Branch then 101 will initiate a transaction called

“Remit Cash to Feeding Branch—9010.

Receiving Branch: In this case Branch 105 will

initiate the transaction “Receive Cash from

Feeding branch” through –9009.
