• TheBralima’sFoundationwascreatedin2007andismanagedbyMr.HansvanMamerenasPresident&Mrs.MabundaasVice-President.

• Thefoundationisoperationalalloverthecountry,including locationswhere the company does nothave branches. We have 6 branches in differentregionofthecountry(North,South,West,East).

• Inordertobetotallydedicatedtothewell–beingof the population, the Foundation has chozen toworkin4fields:

→Basicliteracyeducation(read&write) →Educationandskillsdevelopment&capacity building →Health →Theenvironment,includingagriculture

thatmatchourobjectives,andweapproachtheapplicants

to know more and discuss further. We are involved in

basicliteracyeducationandtrainingofvariousschoolsat

different levels of development: very rural poor schools

facing a disaster situation compared to better schools,

andweareable tohelpmaintainacertain leveldespite

thedifficultenvironmentandtheeconomiccrisis.Mostof

theseschoolsrequirerehabilitationoftheirbuildings.

• Wefirstdoafieldvisittomakesurethattheseschoolsexist

andarelocatedinaccessibleplace.Wediscusswiththem

tohaveabetterunderstandingof theway theyoperate

andtofindoutwhat theirneedsare.Thenwedosome

proposalstoassisttheminthebestmanner.

• Before starting the construction we consult our team ofengineersandgowiththemonafieldvisittoallowthemtocomebackwithproposalsandpricequotations.

• Theengineersmustprovideaverydetailedquotationandalwaysattachaconstructionschedulewhichwillattestthecredibilityoftheiroffers.Thiswillbeusefultoanalyzethedifferentquotationandalsocomparewiththemarketprice.

• We do indepth project analysis, we do verify the prices,challengethemandnegotiatediscountasmuchaswecan.Thisdiscountwillhelpustosavesomemoneyandthendomoreprojects+assistmorepeople.

• Wecompareall theproposalsandselect thebestoffer intermsofpriceandquality.

• Weinsistonavaluableandcrediblequotations(detailedwithsuperficie,priceperunit,grandtotal)

• Quotationswillnotbeacceptedifnotattachedwithadetailedschedule including deadline. The Foundation is controllingandtrackingtoguaranteeadeadlinefrom30to45days.

• Themoneyispaidtotheengineersintranches,accordingtotheconstruction’sdevelopmentandthiswillberelatedtotheplanning.All thiswillbemonitoredbytheFoundationonaweeklybasisduringfieldvisits.

• Thereisasignedagreementbetweentheengineerandtheschool.

• Duringtheconstructionprocess,theschoolmustprovidetheengineeraplacetostockallthematerial.Thisspaceshouldbeprovidedwithlockersandmustbeverysecure.

• In case of loss or problems due to carelessness, theconstructionwillimmediatelybestoppedandtheschoolwillbeobligedtoreimbursethemoneyinvested+apenaltyfee(upto30%oftheamountinvested).Thiswillbementionedinacontractandsignedbeforestartingtheconstruction.

• The foundation will provide a building site agenda/diarybefore starting theproject. Thisbuilding sitediarywill beprovided by the Foundation when signing the purchaseorder.

• Indeed before starting construction and giving funds apurchaseorderwillbesignedbetweentheFoundationandtheengineer.

• An update of the building site diary must be done on aregularbasisrelatedtothedevelopmentoftheprjectandmustincludebothsignature(engineertogetherwithschool).

• Thematerialwillbetakenoutofthestockroomthroughthebuilding sitebook/diary andonlywiththesignatureandpresenceofbothparties:schoolandtheengineer.

• Thematerialtakingout,thedevelopmentoftheconstructionand the planning signed and agreed must be closelyconnected.Allthiswillbecheckedduringfieldvisits.

• 1stpartofthemoneywillbededicatedtothepurchaseofmaterial.

• Deadline of 48 hrs between receipt of the money anddeliveryofthematerialtotheconstructionside.

• The engineer will sign a document attesting the receiptof fund’s at the different stages of the construction’sdevelopment.

• Wetakepicturesatthedifferentstagesofthedevelopmentandeverytimewegoonfieldvisit.Wecarefullytrackthedevelopmentoftheconstruction.

• Attheendoftheproject,duringtheinauguration,wewillsignanagreementbetweentheFoundationandtheSchooltoblocktheamountoftheschoolfeesduringatleast1year.Indeed,wewould like toavoidan increase in school feeswhichwouldresultinexcludingthosewhocannotaffordtopaymore.

• Forthosewhodidn’thavethechancetolearnattheearlystageoftheirlife,theFoundationisinvestinginlearningandvocationalcentres.Inthesecentrestheycanlearnandtheywillalsohavetheopportunitytolearnaprofessiontogetsomerevenue.

• Todaytheprojectcoversabout10differentregions:Bas-Congo,Equateur, Kinshasa, Bandundu, la Province Orientale, SouthKivu,NorthKivu,ManiemaandKatanga.

InCongoDRCit’sthericeprojectwhichhasbeenselectedwiththeobjectiveof restarting rice cultivation in order to reducepoverty inruralareas,bringingadescentrevenueto farmersandtoguaranteeenoughandsufficientfoodtothepopulation.

• In its contribution of the country social and economicaldevelopment,withtheFoundation,Bralimaalsocontributestotheimprovementofeducationthroughschoolrehabilitation,creationoflearningcentres,andhealthcentres

• Thegoalofthisagriculturalsupportisalsotoinfluencepeopleto go back to agriculture and leave the cities to focus onagricultureinruralareas.Thiswill improvelivingconditionsforthepeople.
