In 2013, BrainsBusiness was awarded the gold medal from the EU Commis-sion for being one of the most efficient and well-run clusters in Europe, thus emphasising how we have found the key to creating success in the interac-tion between research, industry and business development initiatives. The medal is awarded for, among other things, the cluster’s results, strategy,

service and addition of values to the cluster members through for instance knowledge sharing and facilitation of collaboration.

telecommunications technology. The embedded antenna for mobile phones was invented here, and the region is currently home to

Smart gridNorth Denmark is home to a range of experts within smart grid.
