Safety

WARNING: Observe and follow all safety instructions, thegeneral safety instructions included as a separate document, aswell as the specific safety instructions in all other relateddocumentation.

Description

Brackets may only be used for holding, supporting and bearing adhesiveguns and control units.

Any other use is considered to be unintended. Nordson will not be liablefor personal injury or property damage resulting from unintended use.

Intended use also includes the observance of Nordson safetyinstructions. Nordson recommends obtaining detailed information aboutthe materials to be used.

The brackets may not be used under the following conditions:

� In defective condition

� When modifications or changes have been made by the customer

� In a potentially explosive atmosphere

The device is designed to protect operating personnel from possiblerisks. However, some residual risks cannot be avoided. Personnel mustconsider the following:

� The risk of burns from the hot adhesive guns: through the hot melt,during adjustment work

� Inhalation of potentially hazardous hot melt material vapors.

The position numbers in the illustrations correspond to the positionnumbers in the technical drawings and the spare parts lists.

In addition to the brackets, the section Technical Data also containsillustrations of the adapters and adhesive guns which can be used andtheir dimensions.

Installation

WARNING: Allow only qualified personnel to perform thefollowing tasks. Observe and follow the safety instructions inthis document and all other related documentation.

Unpack carefully, then check for transport damage. Reuse packagingmaterials or dispose of according to local regulations.

The brackets are produced to a high level of precision, and are valuableparts. Handle with extreme caution!

Do not store outside! Protect from humidity and dust.

When your Nordson product has exhausted its purpose and/or is nolonger needed, dispose of it properly according to local regulations.

Observe the following points when installing the brackets to prevent anyextensive reworking.

� Determine the location for the installation before beginning theinstallation work.

� Protect from humidity, vibrations, dust and drafts

� Ensure that parts relevant for operation and maintenance areaccessible

� When assembling, ensure that cables, air hoses and heated hosescannot be bent, pinched, torn or otherwise damage.

Maintenance

NOTE: Maintenance is an important preventative measure to maintainoperating safety and extend the operational lifetime of the unit. It shouldnot be neglected under any circumstances.

The intervals are only general values based on experience. Othermaintenance intervals may be necessary depending on the installationsite, production conditions and operating times.

WARNING: When damaged parts pose a risk to theoperational safety of the bracket and/or safety of personnel,switch off the unit and have the damaged parts replaced byqualified personnel. Use only original Nordson spare parts.

External cleaning prevents operational faults being caused byproduction-related contamination.

CAUTION: Do not damage or remove warning signs. Damagedor removed warning signs must be replaced by new ones.

CAUTION: Never use hard tools.

Where possible, remove residue material with a cleaning agentrecommended by the material manufacturer. If necessary, warm up thematerial with a hot air blower. Remove dust, particles, etc. with a vacuumcleaner or a soft cloth.

1. Use a soft cloth to wipe off residue material in good time, i.e. before itcracks.

2. Remove persistent dirt with a soft spatula made of wood or PTFE, if necessary.
