    BPL History:

    British Physical Laboratories Group (BPL) is

    an Indian electronics company that deals with consumerappliances such as refrigerators and washing machines, home

    entertainment products and health care devices

    In 1963, BPL founder and Group Chairman TPG Nambiarbegan manufacturing hermetically sealed precision panelmeters in Palakkad, Kerala, under the name ofBritishPhysical Laboratories. Having worked in the UK and USA,

    when he came back to India armed with a vision of pioneeringthe manufacture of superior quality electronic products, hedreamed of making BPL a household name.

    Over the years, BPL's growth has been subject to constantchallenges. The company was started at a time when thegovernment had reserved many areas of business for thepublic sector. It had also virtually barred most entrepreneursfrom entering other fields through reservations on licensing.

    BPL TELEVISION:

    As its tagline says, BELIEVE IN THE BEST it truly will mean by the

    range of the TVs we have brought in.

    BPL was established in 1963 by Mr. TPJ Nambiar. Since ourinception,BPL has consistently met high quality standards driven by

    our manufacturing process. Our emphasis has been always in

    providing customers with products that would give them a truly

    great experience and as well reassuring them that we will always

    stand by them.

    Range Of BPL TVs:

    BPL is going to introduce six brand new ranges of Televisions.

    They are as follows:

    1) BPL Halo

    2) BPL Celestial3) BPL Insight

    4) BPL Unique

    5) BPL Kitchen TV

    6) BPL Battery TV

    We decided to have 6 different ranges of Television sets

    because we need to meet our entire customers needs &

    customer satisfaction helps us achieve the companys goals.

    BPL Halo, The Angel for Your Eyes, is the LCD range. BPL

    Celestial, Heaven in Your Home, is the LED range. BPL

    Insight, Experience 3D within reach, is our first 3D TV range &

    we hope that the cutting edge technology we have used in

    manufacturing it, increases customer satisfaction to the

    maximum. BPL Unique, Its All About U, is our customizable

    TV range. BPL Kitchen TV is our TV range that is made

    specially to be installed in the kitchen area. BPL Battery TV,

    Zinda hoon main! is our specially made TV range that runs on

    batteries.

    BPL Halo:The Angel for Your Eyes

    BPL Halo is our LCD range of Televisions, specially made

    to suit the average Indian household. The size range is

    from 21 inches to 40 inches & the pricing starts from

    Rs.20,000 onwards.

    Features:

    BPL Halo has the best sound quality because ofthe Bose Speakers fitted in the TV.

    It also has great picture clarity & various picture

    modes like Sports, Animation & Movie Modes.

    Additionally, it has a USB Slot, so one can viewpictures & movies on BPL Halo.

    Target Audience:

    Lower Middle Class & Middle Class. We are targeting the lowermiddle class & middle class section because we think

    customers in this section would like to have an LCD TV with

    these features for a reasonably low price.

    BPL Celestial:Heaven in Your Home

    BPL Celestial is our LED range of Televisions. The size

    range is from 21 inches to 51 inches & the pricing starts

    from Rs.30,000 onwards.

    Features:

    BPL Celestial has the best sound quality because ofthe Bose Speakers fitted in the TV.

    Great picture quality with HD experience.

    It has a USB Slot, so one can view pictures & movies

    on BPL Celestial.

    The BPL Celestial is fitted with a CD Drive, where

    one can use DVDs, VCDs & Audio CDs.

    It also has Bluetooth v3.0, so one can transfer audiofiles, pictures etc. straight from the mobile devices or

    PCs.

    Sensor Remote Control, a unique feature BPL is

    proud to introduce. The channel & volume buttons

    are on a touch-screen panel.

    Target Audience:

    Upper Middle Class. We are targeting upper middle class

    section because we think that customers belonging to that

    section will like to buy an LED TV with so many features & for

    such a reasonable price.

    BPL Insight is our brand new 3D range of Televisions. The size

    range is from 40 inches to 59 inches & the pricing starts from

    Rs. 2,00,000 onwards.

    Bose Speakers fitted in the TV. Now sound is much more

    crisp & clear than ever.

    Great picture clarity with 3D experience. See your

    favourite programmes, music videos, pictures & movies

    BPL Unique:

    Its All About U

    BPL Unique is the worlds first customizable TV range. A

    customer can design and customize the TV to fit his/her

    personal taste and interior. We enable the customer to easily

    customize the TV including the colour of the TV frame, its

    screen size, its stand or wall mount and its accompanying

    remote control. The minimum size of the BPL Unique is 25inches & pricing starts from Rs.50,000.

    BPL Kitchen TV:

    Kitchen TV is our innovative product which we will be providing

    to our customers. Not many people have room for a big screenTV in their cooking area. Smaller-sized kitchen TVs can fit on

    your countertop and allow you to keep up on your favourite

    shows when cooking, eating or even cleaning. The size of the

    TV will be 18 inches & the price for the BPL Kitchen TV will be

    Rs.15,000.

    Exchange any old TV for a 40% discount on a new BPL TV of

    the same range (LCD, LED, 3D)

    Contests: During major sports events, BPL will be having

    contests to win TVs.

    Festive Season Discounts: During various festive seasons like

    Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Gudi Padwa etc. BPL will have

    various discounts for all their TVs.

    Discounts: A discount starting from 10% up to 20% can be

    given on full payment of BPL TVs.

    Online Shopping Discounts: BPL plans to have discounts for

    various online shopping sites like Flipkart, HomeShop18,

    Snapdeal etc.

    Delivery Of BPL TV to Rural Areas in our BPL Van: We will be

    delivering our BPL Halo range to a few rural areas as a CSR

    initiative.

    Foursquare Discount: Whenever a customer checks-in to an

    electronic shopping outlet & buys a BPL TV, a 15% discount

    will be given.

    BPL will aggressive marketing and advertising of the

    product to develop the attitudes, create awareness, andtransmit information to gain a response from the target

    market Their main advertising channels include media such

    as news papers (local, national, free, trade), magazines

    and journals, television (local and national), cinema

    ,outdoor advertising (such as posters, bus sides).

    Battery TV:

    Battery powered television, which will enable the users to

    watch the television as desired and also up to 2 hours during

    power cuts.

    The television switches to the battery mode once the power

    goes off.

    Battery TV must give another output point for the power to the

    digital setup box. Otherwise an inbuilt universal setup box must

    be provided.

    Memory can be added in the TV so that it can record the

    program whenever there is a power cut.

    The basic features of the TV should be provided

    Approximate price of the TV will be 30000-40000 for 21 to 24

    TV sets

    Target of battery TV:

    Urban: tier2 and tier 3 cities. Like: West Bengal, Assam, Bihar
