PRESENTATION EVENING What an exciting evening it was last night at our 2017 Presentation Evening. We are thrilled with the response of families and thank you all for supporting this wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of Denman Public School students this year. We would like to acknowledge Freddy and Conner who weren’t presented with their athletics champion medals last night. Thank you for your patience boys – you are to be commended for your understanding and congratulations on your achievements.

DENMAN EXAMINER
The Denman Examiner will be issued by this Friday December 15th.
We hope that you enjoy the 2017 publication filled with a comprehensive account of all sporting, academic and
cultural events. Thank you to Mrs Fuiono for her amazing effort to compile the ‘Denman Examiner’
this year.
YEAR 6 FAREWELL Year 5 hosted a wonderful evening last Thursday December 7th, for the class of Year 6, 2017. The venue was packed with some impeccably dressed partygoers. It was wonderful to see former teachers of the 2017 class attend the event and to receive many wishes of support during the evening for the exciting journey ahead of high school in 2018. Mrs Whiteman has worked very hard during Term 4 to create flawless dance routines and staff and parents were very impressed with the involvement of all students. ‘The Waves of Bondi’ proved to be tricky for most adults, but thanks to some great coaching from students there were only a few ‘extra’ turns and kicks. It was lovely to see huge parent participation in ‘The Canadian Three Step’ for a grand finale. Thank you to Miss Hassett and all involved for organising such a wonderful event for year 6.
PARTY
TIME!
CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR On Saturday evening December 9th, students from Denman Public School participated in the Glencore Upper Hunter Christmas Spectacular at Muswellbrook Race Course. Following rehearsals with local children and community members over the past few weeks, students performed a variety of Christmas carols for a huge crowd. Thank you to Mrs Druitt for supporting students on the evening and to our wonderful families for their collaboration with our school to enable students to perform with the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music. It is wonderful to see such a strong presence in community events – Well done!
COMMUNITY SERVICE AT MSPS Last Friday December 8th, Mrs Druitt accompanied Nadia, Tyla, Latoya, Nicholas, Ben and Beau to the Denman Multi Purpose Service to assist with their Christmas function. Students helped to serve residents and guests a delicious lunch, clean up afterwards and draw the raffle – Congratulations again to Lisa! We would like to extend a huge thank you to Denman MPS Activity Officer Shae Dodd for collaborating with us to contribute to the community in 2017 and of course for the
amazing pavlova. Ben is still talking about it 😊
BEST PAV EVER!
