# # #
The Bowling Green-Warren County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is requesting your agency’s input and comments regarding an Amendment to the 2016-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) during the mandatory 15-day review period, from July 21, 2017 through August 4, 2017. The TIP is a financially constrained document listing federally funded and regionally significant transportation projects (roadways, pedestrian facilities, and transit facilities) for the Bowling Green-Warren County MPO area. This Amendment to the 2016-2020 TIP will reflect funding changes to the US 31W (Nashville Road) widening project from Campbell Lane to University Blvd in Bowling Green. This amendment moves the listed project from the Informational Supplement portion of the TIP, to the Federally Funded portion, as Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds have become available for this project. Please reference the enclosed documents for more information. Additionally, the 2016-2020 TIP Amendment can be viewed online at:

Karissa, The Bowling Green Police Department has no opposition or reservation to the widening of Nashville Rd. (US 31W) between Campbell Lane and University Blvd. It would be ideal if a sidewalk extension from Potter Children’s Home to University Blvd. was part of the project. Thanks, Chief Doug Hawkins Chief Doug Hawkins Bowling Green Police Department [email protected] 270‐393‐4544

Ms. Lemon, The attached drawing indicates a Karst Topography where sink holes play an important part of the local drainage. KRS 151.250 provides an exception for structures constructed by the “Department of Highways” from permitting regulations involving the Division of Water Floodplain Management Section. There may be other permits required. Please retain this message for your records.
