A HAPPY AND PROSPER CJS NEW YEAR IN CHRIST
The Bowlins certainly had a Merry Christmas ^ tiiaiiks to vou ourdear friends. We received enough special gifts to pay off our billsat the grocery and drug stores? also enough personal gift checksthat we were able to buy gifts for the children and a turkey with allthe trimmings for our Christmas dinner. Thank you each one and GodDLess and repay you, Pancho also received some gifts: clothing,^hoes and toys. He sends his thanks too,
were just overwhelmed by your concern for us. Here are somefrom letters received v;ith special "grocery bill" offerings*

Berta, and our first?,,,randchild, Shannon Dee, drove in unexpectedly from Calif. orTwed.tn'-ening, Dec. 23rd. So our family circle was complete0 You know,1 tnought I had enjoyed about all the eretions life offers a Christian until I held my granddaughter in my arms. Truly "My cup runneth0 ve r •)
We pledge to you renewed zeal in His work in Western Mexico inypa-r 1 091 .the year 1971
Yours and His, ^
p. S, Most of you know I dislike "crisis" appeals for funds and wishto avoid a repetition of our Christmas appeal to pay our grocery anddrug bills* In order to do so we meed $100.00 additional monthlypledged living-link (personal) support for the Bowlin family. ^(Irealize budgets are set up in the Fall, but perhaps some additionalMission funds are available.) Will each of you ask your MissionaryCommittee, your class, youth or V/omen's group to pledge somethingjponthly to the Bow] ins? Please don't expect someone else to do this ^
—YOU do it. Remember, "Everone's job is no one's '-b." Of courseif you can personally pledge, please do so--no amount' is too small. Please send through your church Treasure if possible. Thanks....GDB

EXCITING EVENTS ARE TAKING PLACE IN WESTERN P-ISXICO TODAY:
A young ex-c-tholic, Augustinian monk from South America recentlyspoke^four ovonings here in our congregations. Attendance at onelocation topped 200, with people spilling out into the street andlistening attentively over loudspea.kers. Many stayed afterwardsto ask questions. Four young girls made the^giodd-confession andone woman came forward for redidication of her life.
Contributions have recently enabled us tcL.,jcnQf f nf the MissionCenter on the back of our lot. Now we finally have everything, the
^-"'bYfices, printing plant. Scripture and tract storage, etc. all inC one spot. (Not to mention our home, v/hich is THE center of Mission
Activities.).
Final preparations are being made for some 400-500 children andyouth in 9 mSchoo1s in three locations herein the City and three villages^n^'his county. The theme willbe: "The Lord is My Shepherd."
^^^lih^Xj£lQ:.£^^^;nister we personally trained has returned to ~the17est and is busy preaching eac7r"Lcrr4-ls.^day. (He earns his livingas an electrician-mechanic.). Some may remember EmX^uueChaires.
A village work, that had been closed for over tenyears due to se-vere" persecution of the Christians, most of v/hom,through fear, moved away, has. opened again with-at-tend&nce_aYerag-
3Q persons on a week night."•
More and more homes in our neighborhood are opening to a Gospelv/itness; many due to Geneva's trusty hyperdermic needle. Theseare young professionals--doctors, lawyers, ranch and businessmanagers, college professors, dentists, etc,—the cream of the crop.
Yes, exciting events are taking place in Western Mexico. AREN'TYOU GLAD YOU HAVE HAD A PART IN THESE EXCITING EVENTS IN HIS CHURCHIN V/ESTERN MEXICO THRU YOUR MONTHLY CONTRIBUTIONS AND PRAYERS?
Your happy and excited Missionaries,
